Knowing Tiffany had her own plans, June nodded without further inquiry.

"June, keep this check," Tiffany said, yawning lazily from the back seat. "Buy a villa and a car. You can spend the rest."

The Medicinal Haven was too far away and vulnerable to theft. Instead of leaving the quiet courtyard unprotected, it was better to buy a luxurious Lovell City residence.

"Okay," June replied, understanding Tiffany's intentions. She nodded and prepared to comply.

Just then, a substantial sum was deposited into Tiffany's account—a payment from the Treasure Tower. As per their agreement, the Treasure Tower managed all mined diamonds, with sixty percent of the profits going to Tiffany. Initial estimates valued the diamond mine at over $200 million, but the actual value was far greater. A top-grade diamond mine, yielding high-quality pink diamonds, had been discovered. After a month and a half of continuous excavation—using extensive equipment, professional teams, and efficient methods—the Treasure Tower delivered Tiffany her sixty percent share.

She was now a multimillionaire. Very satisfied, Tiffany casually sent Frank coordinates, adding the message: "[Whether you can secure this place is up to you. I didn’t contribute much this time, so a 20% share would suffice for me.]"

The Lee family's land was an unexpected windfall. The coordinates she sent were for the diamond mine area she’d initially intended to trade with the Treasure Tower. The situation was complex, however, and fraught with potential problems; only an organization with the Treasure Tower's resources could safely handle it.

Frank, a shrewd man, having enjoyed their previous collaboration, agreed without questioning her knowledge of the mine. He promptly purchased the land and initiated another round of excavation. Lovell City's news would soon break the story! Two consecutive top-grade diamond mine discoveries would undoubtedly capture widespread attention, likely sparking a city-wide treasure hunt.

Meanwhile, Mia returned home with her freshly signed contract, showing it to her recuperating father, Conner. "See? I'm not useless!"

Seeing the deal finalized, Conner laughed, gratified. "Not bad. My precious daughter has indeed grown up. In the future, I won't have to worry about leaving such a big family business to you! By the way, how much did you give Miracle Healer?"

Initially, he'd suggested two million dollars. For the Lee family's vast business, this sum was insignificant. Mia tossed him the contract.

One look, and Conner was shocked. "Youyou actually signed a $20 million deal? Nonsense! This is simply" His expression changed instantly. "This deal is not worthwhile at all!"

He reasoned that even with a diamond mine, the quantity was unknown, and labor and equipment costs were high, leaving little net profit. "After all this trouble, the money will have been earned by others!"

Seeing his disapproval and impending anger, Mia retorted, "Who asked you not to listen to me in the beginning? Besides, I bribed someone; this mountain's value is immeasurable. We will make a steady profit!"

"You" Conner sputtered, his vision blurring. He wanted to argue, but the contract was signed. He could only gamble, saying, "Alright, I'll leave this matter to you! Consider it a test. If you do well, I'll hand over the family business to you! If you don't" A flash of malice crossed his eyes.

(He hadn't mentioned having another son, raised outside the family, only half a year younger than Mia. He reasoned that Mia would eventually marry, leaving the family business to a man with a different surname. His son, however, would be his true heir.)

Lost in her dreams of success, Mia missed Conner's expression and his unspoken words. She took a leave of absence from school, using her internship and family connections to justify her flexible schedule.

They purchased advanced equipment, hired experts and laborers, and the Lee Group smugly prepared to begin digging. Progress was initially smooth; early raw stones yielded several pure diamonds, bolstering their confidence. Capitalizing on Lovell City's diamond fever, Mia personally supervised the site and even launched a live broadcast, attracting many viewers with her reputation and generating considerable praise.

After receiving the adulation, Mia shut off the broadcast and received a message confirming an order placed earlier: someone was being mobilized that night to eliminate Tiffany, her most hated person. This order had cost Mia a million dollars; a consequence of needing to compensate for the previous apology to Miracle Healer. Mia wanted not only to punish Tiffany, but to completely eliminate her.

Thinking of her upcoming wealth and Tiffany's impending demise, Mia felt elated. But then, a report arrived from the excavation site: "Miss Lee, the later raw stones contain no diamonds! Experts say, apart from the initial excavation, no diamond mine exists in the mountain…"

"What did you say?" Mia's expression crumbled. She questioned an expert and received the same confirmation: "This is an ordinary mountain. All test results prove it's useless to continue digging."

"How could this be…" Mia staggered back, her dreams shattered. This wasn't just a setback; it was a massive loss.

Her subordinate asked tentatively, "Miss Lee, do you still want to continue mining? Why don't you give up? Otherwise, it won't be worth the expense…"

"I can't give up!" She gritted her teeth, ordering them to continue. The experts' findings were quickly sent to Conner.

Disappointed in his daughter, Conner halted the project, bringing in a young man who resembled him about 70 percent before Mia could object. The young man greeted Mia as "sister."

"Sister?" Mia was stunned. Conner explained, "This is your younger brother, Mason. He's only half a year younger than you, but he’s far more capable. He just returned from studying abroad and will be joining the company."

Mia's world imploded. She'd always believed she was the sole heir. Now, a younger brother had suddenly appeared, explaining her father's reluctance to let her into the company. Anger, disappointment, and despair overwhelmed her.

Conner, unmoved, took Mason to his study. Mia, in a fit of rage, smashed her room, eventually collapsing onto her bed in tears. Late into the night, however, hatred sparked in her eyes. She had nothing left; her only hope rested on the success of the assassination plot against Tiffany.
