Listen to this chapter:

Tiffany was quite satisfied. She waved her hand, allowing the hooligans to drink freely. The crowd cheered; the atmosphere was exceptionally good.

Zoe's eyes reddened at the scene. Her heart ached over the money Tiffany had spent, and she blamed herself. However, Tiffany simply said, "You can't imagine the joy of crushing someone with money. Don't stop me."

Zoe, at a loss, burst out laughing. She understood Tiffany's words were meant to alleviate her burden, so she nodded, withdrawing her profuse thanks. Together, they turned their attention to the large screen showing the race.

From the start, some drivers surged ahead, while others lagged behind. Over twenty cars had already pulled away from each other. To Tiffany's surprise, Ged's car maintained a middling pace—neither falling behind nor catching up. He was clearly trying to overtake, constantly accelerating.

They had entered a mountainous section of the track, filled with obstacles and sharp turns. The high-definition cameras captured thrilling, terrifying drifts.

Zoe took a deep breath, muttering, "There's only one barrier here? At this speed, a collision would be disastrous…"

She was right. Two cars collided while attempting to overtake, instantly deforming and nearly crashing through the barrier. The spectators gasped, but the organizers calmly continued the broadcast, dispatching rescue vehicles. It seemed the drivers were not seriously injured. Those who had bet on the two racers sighed and cursed quietly, then turned their attention to the remaining competitors.

Tiffany frowned, focusing on Ged.

Meanwhile, on another large screen, Sandra sat with a fruit platter and wine Jordan had ordered. "Try it," he said. "This wine is good." His attention, however, was on winning Sandra over. He thought, If I can take advantage of tonight, I can sleep with her… at the very least, I'll finish what I started. Otherwise, my efforts will have been wasted.

But Sandra was distracted, unaware of Jordan's hand on her waist. She stared blankly at the big screen, stunned to see Ged racing. If Ged's here, she thought, where are the other students? If any of them sees Jordan and me together, it'll be over!

Snapping back to reality, Sandra pushed Jordan away. "I'm going to the washroom," she said, frustrated.

Jordan frowned, clearly displeased by her repeated rejections. Sandra tried to soothe him. "Sorry, I'm not feeling well. I think I'm…"

"Fine," Jordan mumbled, seemingly defeated.

Sandra stood and searched for the washroom, but the venue was enormous and lacked clear signage. She eventually went to the bar's restroom.

There, she encountered Tiffany and Kenneth. Kenneth had appeared a moment before, attempting to whisk Tiffany away silently.

Tiffany rolled her eyes. "You're insane! This is no place for a girl like you. I'll take you home." He grabbed her wrist.

Tiffany, furious, pushed him against the wall, grabbing his collar. "I'm warning you, where I am is my business. Stay away from me!"

Kenneth, instead of being repulsed, found himself captivated by her lips. Before he could act, Sandra entered the restroom. The three of them saw each other.

Tiffany's amusement grew. "Well, isn't this a coincidence? Mr. Harper, if you want to play protector, focus on this delicate flower. Others are none of your concern." She walked to the toilet and returned to her seat.

The atmosphere was awkward. Sandra, incredulous, asked, "Kenneth, why are you here? And you look so intimate with Tiffany!" Her face was sorrowful, her eyes red, as if betrayed.

Kenneth, unlike his usual self, didn't apologize or deny it. Instead, he asked, "What about you? Why are you here?"

Guilty, Sandra stammered, "I'm here with a friend."

"Is that so?" Kenneth's smile was unsettling. It felt unfamiliar to Sandra.

She felt a growing unease. "Kenneth…" she began, but he interrupted.

"Let's be clear. I thought you knew what you were doing, but I need to clarify. Sandra, I've always considered you a sister. Always have, always will."

He left, without hesitation. Sandra stood frozen, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't believe it. He trusted me, cared for me, and now this? It must be Tiffany. She must have said something to him.

Frantically, Sandra searched for Kenneth, wanting to explain her feelings. But both Kenneth and Tiffany had vanished.
