Everyone wondered, "Is this woman crazy?" Those initially watching the race intently from the side were shocked by the scene. Kenneth hadn't expected Sandra to be serious about dying. He reacted instantly, rushing out and hugging her from behind before she could jump. The driver was also startled but swerved at the last moment, preventing a tragedy. After the car stopped, the terrified driver yelled at Sandra and Kenneth, "Damn it! If you want to die, go do it somewhere else! Don't endanger others."

Sandra trembled. Kenneth, having no choice, apologized to everyone. Then, under the watchful eyes of the spectators, he helped Sandra back to the car. He simply said, "I'll take you back to school."

Tears streamed down Sandra's face. Her small body trembled with fear, yet her resolve was stronger than ever. "Let me stay with you, okay?" she pleaded. She was willing to risk everything. If Kenneth rejected her again, she might try to kill herself a second time.

After a long silence, Kenneth sighed. "Up to you."

Sandra finally smiled. Her gamble had paid off.

Just as Kenneth left with Sandra, Jordan, who had been searching for her, was stunned. He'd called repeatedly, but his calls were rejected, replaced only by a brief text: "[I'll go back first.]"

Jordan fumed. Is she playing me for a fool? he thought. After a few curses, he lost interest and went to pursue other women.

The group of bullies who had earlier teased Sandra were astonished to see her fearless dash into the race track and then be carried away by Kenneth. They exchanged surprised glances and clicked their tongues. "This night has been an experience," one said. "It's hard to guess a woman's thoughts. Each one is more ruthless than the last." It turned out Sandra had colluded with them; they were paid $200 for their performance. One finally admitted, "This woman is a little scary." The other bullies nodded in agreement.

Chapter 133

Ged's injuries from the racing arena incident were minor. When questioned, he attributed his fall from the cliff to luck. He suspected Tiffany didn't want the pill mentioned, so he remained silent, discreetly investigating its origin. He discovered it came from Medicinal Haven and was shocked to learn of its rarity and exorbitant price. He later overheard his father mention the Lee family spending tens of millions of dollars on twelve such life-saving pills, implying an astronomical cost per pill. This further stunned Ged.

The next day, he nervously approached Tiffany. "I never expected you to treat me so well," he stammered, rubbing his hands. No one would willingly give away such a precious item. Tiffany had remained unassuming throughout. Had he not investigated out of curiosity, he never would have known the pill's value. Tiffany simply replied, "It's nothing."

"Nothing?" Ged exclaimed. "This medicine must have cost a fortune! Here's my card. There isn't much on it, but I'll repay you slowly." His voice trailed off, guilt evident. He wasn't sure when he could repay such a debt.

Tiffany rolled her eyes. "You think this is a business transaction?"

Ged, still hesitant, tried to explain, "No, that's not what I meant. I just felt I owed you so much"

Tiffany's words put him at ease. A sparkle appeared in her eyes as she said, "You're my friend."

Friendship transcended formalities, equal exchange, and indebtedness.

Ged gratefully accepted the card. Children of wealthy families always had companions, but true, selfless friends were rare. He worried that when his family's fortunes declined, those who now seemed friendly would vanish. He rejoiced at finding a genuine friend in Tiffany, someone he hadn't judged like others, and whose personality had drawn him in. He felt fortunate to have her as a friend.

Meanwhile, Tiffany was contemplating. The pill she'd given Ged was her last. She needed time to produce more, so she planned to stay at Medicinal Haven's new residence, Luna Villa.

That afternoon, she used the excuse of going to a studio to leave school. June picked her up, and in the car, Tiffany changed her appearance and clothes. They went to the villa.

Luna Villa, named for its stunning night view, was massive—a three-story, exquisitely decorated building with a hidden basement. The basement housed Medicinal Haven's rare herbs and served as Tiffany's laboratory. The backyard held transplanted herbs. June had hired trustworthy servants to maintain the villa and care for the plants.

Tiffany was pleased with the villa. Casually, she asked, "Where's Jeremy?"

June sighed, "He's been here for days; he just eats and sleeps." Jeremy was assigned as a bodyguard, though outsiders might think Luna Villa was harboring a lazy man.

Tiffany laughed, "As long as he's happy." Resources should be prioritized. Jeremy was highly skilled and had secretly helped her numerous times. When Stan had tried to burn down Cedar Ridge Villa, Jeremy had discreetly dealt with him, leaving Stan to die in the fire he had planned. Tiffany wouldn't mistreat such a capable assistant. "I should check on him." Guided by a servant, Tiffany went to Jeremy's room, knocked lightly, and opened the door to find him fresh from a shower.
