Listen to this chapter:

Sandra’s hands and feet were cold. Following the woman’s footsteps, she subtly sized up her surroundings. Suddenly, as if determined, Sandra clutched her stomach and said, "I need to use the restroom." Conveniently, a restroom was nearby.

The woman turned. Surprisingly, she didn't stop Sandra. Looking indifferent, she said, "Go ahead, but I warn you—don't try anything."

Sandra nodded and walked toward the restroom, but dashed into the men's restroom next door when the woman wasn't looking. She moved quickly enough to avoid being seen. Sandra breathed a sigh of relief. However, looking up, she was stunned.

The restroom was off the main area and empty. The door to one of the cubicles was ajar, revealing Jordan, whom Sandra hadn't seen in a long time, intimately involved with a woman. Sandra was shocked. Jordan, equally surprised, visibly wilted.

"What are you doing here?" Jordan asked.

Sandra felt disgusted, especially remembering the injuries Jordan had inflicted. However, he was the only person she knew there. To escape the woman outside and Gordon, the debt collector, she might need Jordan's help. Making a decision, she said timidly, "Mr. Booth, could you help me with something?"

Sandra, usually noble and pure, now seemed a weak, pitiful rabbit, almost begging. This ignited Jordan's desire to conquer.

"Tell me," Jordan said.

The moment Jordan agreed, the woman with him became instantly unhappy. She said petulantly, "Mr. Booth, have you forgotten about me?"

"F***k off," Jordan said mercilessly. She was merely a plaything; she had no self-awareness.

The woman, furious, glared at Sandra and left after receiving money. The air smelled of freshener. Sandra felt uncomfortable. Jordan leaned forward, noticing the scar on her face. Surprisingly, he said, "It's quite beautiful."

Jordan was a peculiar man, almost perverse in his attraction to flawed perfection. He didn't find the scar ugly; he only regretted not having inflicted it himself.

Sandra's heart sank. She explained about Selena's debt, offering herself in exchange for Jordan's help. Jordan frowned, considering her worth. Sandra added, "If you help me, I'll help you in the future. I also know a lot about the Kelley family—information that might be valuable to you."

Jordan's eyes lit up. He realized Sandra, despite being estranged, still possessed valuable knowledge of the Kelley family. He saw the potential for easy profit. He agreed to help, a decision he would later regret.

"Okay, I'll help you pay your debts."

Tiffany's foot was nearly healed. Her school's anniversary coincided with her return. News of her two-million-dollar donation had spread, and her name was on the thank-you list.

That afternoon, Zoe excitedly asked, "Tiffany, the anniversary ball is tonight. What are you wearing?"

Lovell School's 30th anniversary was a grand affair. Students were free to choose their attire. It was Zoe's first time attending such a prestigious event.

Tiffany said lazily, "I don't care," planning to wear her uniform. She had never cared for such occasions.

Zoe, however, excitedly showed Tiffany a cheap princess dress that looked more like a maid's outfit. Tiffany glanced at the time and took Zoe to Lovell City's busiest shopping street—a street now essentially owned by Tiffany, thanks to Ged's father transferring his assets to her after receiving two hundred million dollars.

Tiffany patted Zoe's shoulder and said, "Pick whatever you want."

Zoe, aware of Tiffany's wealth but hesitant to accept more favors, was taken to a high-end designer boutique. Tiffany instructed the salesgirl to choose a dress for Zoe.

Zoe, slightly uneasy, emerged from the fitting room in a dark purple gown. Tiffany approved. It was elegant and showcased Zoe's figure. Tiffany generously offered to buy several dresses.

Then, Alexia Harper arrived, demanding the purple gown, regardless of Zoe having already purchased it. The salesgirl explained that only one of each style was available, but Alexia, known for her demanding nature, insisted on having the dress. She provocatively glared at Tiffany.
