Listen to this chapter:

It would be better if this matter became a bigger deal! She had no intention of hiding it; she wanted to make a big deal out of it. She deliberately allowed the loudmouthed student to "accidentally" read the email and announce it to the whole world. This was precisely her intended outcome. The more people who knew, the better. It was her only plan. Even if Tiffany later realized she was the author, without evidence, no one would believe her.

To ensure nothing went wrong, she'd preemptively checked that the script hadn't been published. Therefore, she was confident that no one would discover her bold impersonation. Within half a day, Melody's reputation as a talented screenwriter spread like wildfire.

The next day, during her appointment time at the school clinic, Melody sat on a medical bed receiving an IV drip, surrounded by classmates. Most were there for the spectacle; before this, they'd had no exposure to scriptwriting or filmmaking. It was a rare opportunity! Some inquired about her well-being and praised her work.

“Melody, what script are you writing? Can I see it? I'm really curious!”

“By the way, Melody, I heard Oliver, the famous director, hired an unknown screenwriter for his new movie! If the movie’s popular, the screenwriter will become famous, too.”

“That’s right!”

Someone asked, “Are you the screenwriter Oliver mentioned?”

As the conversation veered off-topic, Melody felt overwhelmed.

“No, no, you’re overthinking it,” she said.

Tiffany arrived just then. The clinic fell silent. Melody looked innocently at Tiffany, her heart pounding. She imagined Tiffany exploding in anger, or desperately confessing to being the author. Melody had prepared responses for both scenarios.

However, Tiffany remained calm, her usual calm smile on her face, seemingly oblivious. A thought struck Melody: Could Tiffany still be unaware?

Seizing the opportunity, Melody distributed printed copies of the script, ostensibly for everyone to admire. The script fell into Tiffany's hands. Tiffany nodded approvingly. "Not bad."

Melody was stunned. Unease grew. Wasn't Tiffany the actual author? she thought. Why is she showing no reaction? Could something be wrong?

Before she could ponder further, Harold arrived. Even without major credits, his presence commanded attention. He looked younger in casual clothes, sunglasses and hat removed only upon entering.

He surveyed the students cheerfully. "Hello! May I meet Melody?"

They’d arranged to meet at the clinic via email. Harold approached Melody on the bed. "You must be Melody?"

"Yes, I am!" Melody smiled sweetly. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Lester."

After pleasantries, Harold, ignoring the students, praised Melody generously. "The script is truly novel. I loved it immediately. The theme will be a huge hit!"

Melody smiled. "Thank you for the compliment."

The students felt honored and ecstatic, boasting amongst themselves.

“I agree! The story is so refreshing. I wonder if I could get a cameo!”

“Haha, you wish!”

“It’s not too late. You could still become close friends with Melody!”

Melody nodded humbly.

Just as the praise reached a crescendo, Harold let out a sharp snort.

"The script is good, but you didn't write it. Don't you feel guilty about impersonating me? Is this a joke?"

Harold's demeanor shifted from calm to suppressed fury. Silence fell. The praise abruptly ceased.

“What?”

“Didn’t Melody write this?”

“What was she doing?”

“Was it fun to deceive everyone?” murmurs spread through the room.

Melody was shocked. With a calm smile, she insisted, “There must be a misunderstanding. I wrote this script!”

Her calm demeanor and certainty were impressive. Harold, however, was unconvinced.

Harold sneered. "I don't care about misunderstandings. You plagiarized someone's work. This is fraud!"

Melody shook her head. "No, Mr. Lester! You've misunderstood. This has nothing to do with StarRise Entertainment. It's all"

Before she could finish, Harold threw a document at her—a statement from StarRise Entertainment, yet to be released, announcing the second collaboration between a “godly screenwriter” and Oliver. This screenwriter was the sole author of Oliver's new movie, “Dreams of Rising,” and a member of StarRise. The script Melody had given Harold was from Oliver's second collaboration, a script from a month and a half prior. She had inadvertently offended the wrong people.

Melody was dumbfounded, looking at Tiffany for clues. She was furious at Tiffany's detached demeanor. Harold's accusations echoed in her ears.

“What are you doing at your age? Why are you so sneaky?”

“No, this isn’t sneaky. There’s something wrong with her character.”

Melody was silent, the situation spiraling. The students, once admiring, now looked at her with embarrassment.

“No, it’s not like that,” Melody pleaded, turning to Tiffany for help. “Tiffany, you wrote a similar script, didn’t you?”

Tiffany blinked, smiling innocently. “No, I’ve never written anything like that.”
