"Help? How can I help?" Kenneth was stunned. His first thought was to use his family's connections to bail Tiffany out. However, seeing her eyes, he discarded the idea. He'd promised to have nothing more to do with Tiffany. Despite past feelings, he was committed to Melody. Furthermore, the Kelley family wouldn't remain idle.
Therefore, Kenneth shook his head and said nonchalantly, "There's no need. If she's innocent, she'll be released." He tapped his nose and added helplessly, "You're just too kind."
"Do you like me like this, then?" Melody blinked playfully.
Kenneth, gazing into her eyes—a feeling reminiscent of his near-death experience—blurted out, "I do."
Melody was surprised, blushing as she stood on tiptoe and kissed his cheek, smiling shyly. Kenneth gently took her hand, interlacing their fingers. She was the girl he'd loved at first sight. He felt the responsibility of providing her security, requiring him to distance himself from other women.
The wedding banquet ended. Lauren watched Tiffany's arrest, clapping happily. "Serves her right! She should spend the rest of her life in prison!"
Thalia, enraged, was about to confront Lauren when she fainted.
"Mom, Mom!" Eric cried, scared.
Charlie picked up his wife and told his son, "Let's go home."
Their private doctor examined Thalia, confirmed no serious problems, and left. Relieved, Charlie instructed a servant, "Take good care of them. Don't let anyone else in."
"Yes!" the servant replied.
Charlie left late that night. Eric, obeying his father's instructions to stay home, calmed down after the initial panic. He scrolled through his contacts, finding his future brother-in-law's number, but the call went unanswered. He stood up and tried to leave.
The servants stopped him. "Mr. Kelley instructed you to stay home."
"Where's the driver? Take me somewhere," Eric demanded.
At Royal Bay, he was initially blocked at the gate. Lucifer, the tiger, awakened by a familiar scent, unlocked the gate. Eric was about to find a way in when the gate opened. The large tiger wagged its tail, appearing unexpectedly friendly.
Terrified, Eric's face paled. Lucifer retreated, reassuring him of no danger. Eric, summoning his courage, walked in. The driver, terrified, hesitated between helping and escaping as Eric entered the grounds. The tiger remained motionless.
"Well…" the driver stammered, shocked. Eric, equally stunned, bowed politely. "Thank you!" He quickly ran towards the villa, but couldn't open the door. Anxious, he pounded on it.
A silver-haired, seductive, and arrogant man opened the door.
Garry looked down at Eric. "Boy, who are you looking for?"
"My brother-in-law!"
"Oh," Garry said casually. "Who's your brother-in-law?"
Eric replied, "The owner of this place."
"And your sister?" Garry asked, suspecting another woman's ploy. Then he heard the name:
"Tiffany," Eric said, his eyes widening. "Can I come in? Forget it, I'm leaving." His brother-in-law's silence was rejection. Tears welled in Eric's eyes as he turned to leave.
Garry's heart leaped. Tiffany's brother! He immediately knelt before Eric, his demeanor changing completely. "Your sister is Tiffany? You're my brother! You should have said so!" He put an arm around Eric and ushered him inside. "You're looking for Richard? He's busy. Wait for him."
"I can't wait!" Eric cried. "My sister's been arrested!"
Meanwhile, in the brightly lit interrogation room, Tiffany sat with her hands cuffed, her back straight. She'd been charged with intentional assault and murder, bypassing standard procedure. Sandra's plan was flawless—even using her pregnancy as a tool. Tiffany sneered. Pushing Sandra away had been necessary, and there were witnesses. The evidence was stacked against her, but she would fight. Then, there was a commotion outside
