Chapter 296
"Why are you going to Royal Bay at this late hour?" June was puzzled. She thought Tiffany was going to find Richard Hampton to discuss today's events. However, Tiffany's face was tense and cold.
"Yes, Miss Kelley," she quickly replied.
In the car, Tiffany removed the bracelet with a rare pink diamond—worth millions—from her wrist. She remembered Richard had bid on it at the auction. But now…
After removing the bracelet, she carefully wiped the blood-stained wristband before putting it back on. Very good.
The workmanship was exquisite, and the silver was of very high quality. Tiffany stroked the wristband several times. Then, she took a brooch from her pocket. She had retrieved this from Ged Moody's body earlier.
At Sandra Olson's wedding, she had worn a similar brooch as a precaution. It had a hidden pinhole camera that could provide evidence if someone tried to frame her. Later, Ged found out and pestered her until she made one for him. It was shaped like an eagle and also contained a camera.
Tiffany didn't doubt Zoe's words. What she questioned was how Ged crossed paths with the assassins when his route home was in the opposite direction of their escape route. This was too much of a coincidence. It seemed unbelievable. Most likely, Ged had been lured there.
Tiffany retrieved her laptop and connected the brooch. The surveillance footage appeared clearly on the screen. The bottom right corner showed a timestamp of 10:15 p.m. Ged had just bought the wristband and was about to drive home. At that moment, a small, thin figure threw stones at his car under the cover of darkness. A string of metallic thumps could be heard as the stones hit the car.
Ged was furious. He thought it was a prankster and wanted to confront him, but the person kept throwing stones. In anger, he decided to chase the culprit in his car. The prankster dashed off, continuing to throw stones. After chasing for a few minutes, Ged arrived at the road where he would later see Zoe Stevens and Melody Princeton being forced into a car. The prankster was long gone, and Ged was preparing to drive back.

Later, he saw the two girls in distress and immediately went after their assailants. Then, as Zoe said, when Ged turned back to rescue Melody, a Hummer sped toward him and rammed into everyone.
However, Zoe didn't see that Ged managed to step aside in time. He wasn't hit at all. Suddenly, someone in the Hummer produced a sharp metal strip and stabbed at Ged. Although Ged was chubby, he was agile. He dodged, but from that camera angle, he appeared to fall forward.
Tiffany replayed this scene several times. She was certain Ged hadn't lost his balance. Someone had pushed him from behind. This push caused Ged to be impaled by the metal strip, an injury he could have avoided. The metal strip pierced his heart, causing a fatal injury.
Of all the people present, Zoe was furthest away. Only two assassins were near Ged, as well as Melody Princeton, whom he had just rescued. Who could it be? Who pushed Ged? Who was driving the Hummer, and who stabbed him with the metal strip?
Tiffany's head was spinning. She reviewed the video multiple times, magnifying critical parts and taking screenshots for closer examination. However, there was too much movement, and the pinhole camera didn't capture the details clearly.
Tiffany kept taking and magnifying screenshots, reviewing them repeatedly until she discerned something. The arm that stabbed Ged was slender and smooth—a woman's arm. Who could it be?
Tiffany had a splitting headache. Numerous people popped into her mind, but she eliminated them one by one. Many people wanted Tiffany dead, but how many held such a deep grudge against Ged? In the past, it could only have been Sandra Olson, but she was dead.
Tiffany frowned. The car stopped. June announced with concern, "Miss Kelley, we have arrived."
Tiffany raised her head. Royal Bay was brightly lit. "Wait for me here," she said, getting out of the car.
Trying to enter the compound, Tiffany realized the security system had been changed. Facial recognition and fingerprint scanning no longer granted her access. She could only press the intercom bell.
Chapter 296
A servant appeared quickly, despite the late hour, immediately opening the gate. "Miss Kelley, please come in."
"No rush. Please inform your master of my arrival," Tiffany said. As an unwelcome guest, she felt she should at least get his permission.
The servant was baffled. Didn't Tiffany always enter directly? Why was she so formal today? Looking closer, she saw Tiffany's eyes were slightly red and swollen. Although she smiled faintly, there was no warmth. The servant detected a chilling frostiness on Tiffany's usually exquisite face. The demeanor was terrifyingly cold.
The servant said nothing and hurried inside to report. Tiffany waited outside the gate for ten minutes. When the servant reappeared, she seemed happy. "Miss Kelley, please come in. Master is waiting."
"Thank you." Tiffany entered the estate.
"Master said you don't need his permission to enter in the future," the servant added. "You can just go in directly."
Tiffany said nothing. This was probably her final visit. After crossing the lawn and porch, she slowly walked into the villa.
Immediately, Tiffany noticed the unemptied trash can. The doll she had brought was inside, very dirty. Very good, she thought, giving a bitter smile.
Inside the brightly lit villa, the villa master—Richard Hampton—was as dazzling as always. He had the bearing of a big shot, noble yet understated. Seeing her, his dark eyes gleamed with delight. He teased, "You came so late. Did you miss me?"
Tiffany stopped five steps away. "You planned everything that happened tonight, didn't you?" she said calmly.
"What? What do you mean?" Richard frowned, his smile vanishing. His face was abnormally pale, his lips thin and tightly pursed, icy and devoid of rosiness.
A mysterious smile crept across Tiffany's face. He still had the nerve to ask? Everything that happened tonight was traceable.
Chapter 296
Tiffany recalled how the assassins had acted brazenly at the school gate. They caused a commotion, yet no one came to help her. It was as if everyone was dead. Didn't Zoe call for help? She called repeatedly, but no one came. What did it all mean? It meant someone was deliberately manipulating everything behind the scenes.
