Chapter 393

On the other end of the line, Richard rubbed his eyebrows. He thought, My girl just killed the atmosphere. Instead of giving me a moving response, how could she think about this? He replied in a low voice, "If you dare, I'll break your legs."

Tiffany lay on the bed, a smile in her eyes. She replied smoothly, "I wouldn't dare. Besides, how could I bear to?"

Richard was relieved and immediately calmed down. Tiffany said, "Alright now. I'll leave you to your work." Before hanging up, she paused, then blew a kiss into the phone.

In the Royal Tower's top-floor meeting room, the senior executives' jaws dropped at the sound of Tiffany's kiss. They looked up to see Mr. Hampton, usually swift, decisive, and aloof from women, actually smiling—a warm smile that starkly contrasted with his usual demeanor. The executives were flabbergasted. This was unprecedented.

However, the moment Richard faced them, his smile vanished. His voice remained aloof. "Where were we? Continue."

The director of operations, mid-report, felt nervous. Seeing Mr. Hampton's obvious good mood after the call, however, he was instantly relieved. He felt more at ease, knowing that even an unsatisfactory report wouldn't lead to reprimand. He concluded that Mr. Hampton's wife was a lucky star and wished she'd call more often.

Tiffany sneezed. Touching her ears, she felt a little warm and wondered who was talking about her. Having woken from a nap at only two in the afternoon (she'd returned home early), she stretched. Catching sight of the asset transfer papers, she tore them up without hesitation. Richard's intention, while touching, was beyond her expectations; she wasn't short of money. She set a small goal: exceeding Richard's net worth.

Tiffany washed her face, shook her head, changed clothes, and went downstairs.

Lucy asked, "Ms. Kelley, are you going out? I'll have the chauffeur get the car."

Tiffany replied, "That's not necessary. I'll just walk nearby. Where's my mom?"

Lucy said, "Mrs. Kelley was called away half an hour ago. Mrs. Yates from the next-door villa invited her to teach them dancing."

This was common. Tiffany nodded. "Okay. I'm going out then. Goodbye, Lucy."

Lucy said, "Take care, Ms. Kelley."

Tiffany replied, "Got it."

After leaving, Tiffany walked down the asphalt road. She didn't want the chauffeur to follow because she was going to Luna Villa. To avoid revealing her identity (and because she couldn't drive), she planned to walk to the road and take a taxi. However, a black Rolls-Royce stopped her.

Tiffany raised an eyebrow and stopped. The car door opened, and an elegant, gentle-looking old man smiled and nodded. "Miss Kelley, it's been a while. Do you remember me?"

Tiffany smiled and greeted him, "Hey, Don."

The old man was Don, the butler of Hampton Manor and Hank's closest confidant. Tiffany, as Kenneth's fiancée, had visited twice; she knew Don well.

Don smiled gently. "Thank you, Miss Kelley. Mr. Hampton has asked me to invite you to a family banquet at Hampton Manor."

It was the same excuse. Tiffany, knowing Hank intended to lecture her, raised an eyebrow.

Don gestured invitingly. "Miss Kelley, please." His gentle smile masked an unyielding attitude.

Tiffany considered refusing but ultimately agreed. She would have to face Hank eventually, especially since she was marrying Richard.

Tiffany got into the car. The Rolls-Royce sped away.

Meanwhile, Kenneth drove aimlessly, eventually realizing he was near Cedar Ridge Villa. He hadn't said what he wanted to Tiffany, and hoped to use this opportunity. He unexpectedly witnessed a scene from afar.

Don's arrival meant Hank was inviting Tiffany. Kenneth knew Hank was old-fashioned and difficult. Worried Tiffany would be at a disadvantage alone, he immediately drove to Hampton Manor, taking a shortcut in his supercar to arrive before Don.

Hank was delighted to see his grandson. He asked repeatedly, "Kenneth, why are you so thin? Too busy with your studies and the company?"

"No, I'm fine," Kenneth smiled. "Grandpa, you look younger."

Hank laughed. The harmonious atmosphere was broken by a servant's announcement: "Mr. Hampton, Don has brought Miss Kelley."

Hank's dislike for Tiffany was obvious. He responded indifferently, "Okay," his smile fading.

Kenneth felt inexplicably nervous, picking up his coffee and pretending to be calm.

Amidst the rising steam, Tiffany entered. Her slender figure, long hair, fair skin, and bright eyes were striking.

Kenneth, suddenly nervous, choked on his coffee.

"AhemAhem" He coughed violently.

Tiffany was surprised to see him, greeting Hank politely, "Hello, Mr. Hampton." While she knew Hank would soon be her father-in-law, his obvious disgust was evident.

Tiffany, neither subservient nor overbearing, looked directly at Hank and asked, "May I know why you called me here?"

"I heard Richard proposed," Hank said, his expression and voice filled with authority. "My daughter-in-law will be the Hampton family's hostess. You're not suitable. You know what to do."
