Chapter 500

“Richard, leave. I don’t want you anymore,” Tiffany’s soft voice echoed in the bedroom, so faint it was almost imperceptible. But it struck Richard’s heart like a bell.

Instantly, Richard’s body was filled with hostility. His dark, deep eyes fixed on Tiffany, as if to see through her. It was terrifying.

Tiffany raised her head, meeting his gaze. Her slightly red and swollen lips parted. “You can leave,” she said. Stay away from me so that all bad luck and danger don’t fall on you, she thought.

The corners of Richard’s mouth twitched; a cold smile played on his lips. Even his handsome face held a fierce, dangerous expression. Tiffany averted her gaze, unwilling to let him see her struggle.

A gust of wind swept past. Richard left. The door remained open, the corridor light spilling into the room. Tiffany stood in the darkness, her slender body trembling, slowly bending until she was huddled on the floor.

She hugged her knees, her face buried in them. A faint sob escaped. She stifled it, trying to hide her distress. June was about to enter when she heard the soft cry; she paused, then silently turned away.

Downstairs, she heard a car. It was James Quinn, long absent.

June rushed forward. “Mr. Quinn, I have something to tell you.”

“Where’s Tiffany?” James asked.

“It’s about her,” June explained, quickly pulling James to the villa’s basement. This area housed Miracle Heal’s medicinal refinery and a secret room, ensuring privacy.

Once the secret room door closed, June recounted recent events.

James hadn't attended Tiffany’s engagement party, so he was unaware of what transpired. After listening, he frowned.

He waved a hand and began a prediction of Tiffany’s fate using his fortune-telling skills.

June’s face was etched with anxiety. “Mr. Quinn, what should we do? Last time, you predicted Miss Kelley’s impending death. Is she in immediate danger now?”

“I thought Mr. Hampton would protect Miss Kelley. I didn’t expect their relationship to become like this…”

James possessed a talent for vaguely predicting the future. He’d predicted Tiffany’s future months and two years prior, each time revealing imminent danger and a potential death. The date was approaching.

This prediction indicated Tiffany would die within the week.

James had desperately sought ways to help, discovering only one solution: a meteorite with a powerful magnetic field from a crater in Lovell City, a hundred years old. He believed it could avert the calamity. He risked his life, infiltrating Richard’s Sci-Tech Tower 9 to steal it, only to be captured. Tiffany’s timely intervention saved him from Richard.

Chapter 500 (continued)

James said in a low voice, “There’s not much time left. Looks like we can only try again.”

June worried. “But…”

The meteorite was in Richard’s possession. For Tiffany, Richard might relent. However, an unresolvable feud existed between James and Richard. Another attempt might prove fatal.

As they spoke, the prediction remained unchanged: Tiffany was still in grave danger.

James’s expression darkened. He turned to June. “Keep an eye on Tiffany. Tell her to stay at Luna Villa and not go anywhere for the next few days!”

“What about you?” June asked.

“I’m going to find Mr. Hampton.” James left. He’d always been like that.

June rubbed her temples, deeply worried.

At Tech Building No. 9, James didn’t break in. He announced his identity and requested to see Richard. After much deliberation, they allowed his entry.

Coincidentally, Richard was present and granted James access.

James reached the top floor, finding Richard seated in a leather chair before high-tech control panels. His eyes were half-closed, yet his presence remained imposing. His posture was relaxed, yet exuded power and nobility.

James felt a surge of emotion. He'd first met Richard ten years prior; even then, Richard’s intelligence and ruthlessness were evident, as he swiftly overcame powerful opposing families. He commanded respect.

Back then, James, known as the “Phantom of a Thousand Faces,” infiltrated Richard’s circle to gather secrets. Richard’s sister discovered him. In desperation, James stabbed her, fleeing the scene.

Richard's sister was eight months pregnant; the wound proved fatal. The feud began then.

Richard, vengeful by nature, relentlessly hunted James. But James's skills in disguise allowed him to evade capture.

James stepped forward. “Do you still want my life?”

Silence filled the room. Richard leaned back, eyes still closed.

A faint smile played on his lips. “And if I do?”

“Then take it,” James smiled, gesturing towards the meteorite in a glass cabinet. “But first, I want that stone in exchange.”

“What makes you think your life is worth more than this stone?” Richard opened his eyes, a deep light emerging.

James stood firm. “What if I say I’m doing this for Tiffany? Will you give it to me?”

Chapter 300 (incorrect chapter number – should be 500 continued)

Previously, on this building's rooftop, Richard had been a second away from killing James. Tiffany’s arrival had spared him.

For Tiffany’s sake, James hoped Richard would show mercy again. He held his breath, waiting.

After a long pause, Richard raised an eyebrow. His smile was cold and mocking.
