Chapter 501

“I missed the part where that’s my problem?” Richard’s tone was cold and emotionless, as if he were discussing a stranger.

James, stunned, replied anxiously, “What if I tell you this stone can save Tiffany’s life? Why are you so indifferent?”

Richard chuckled, but his smile didn’t reach his eyes. “I missed the part where that’s my problem?” he repeated.

“I thought you were different with Tiffany. I didn’t expect… you’re just so…” James’s face hardened. He lunged forward, intending to snatch the meteorite from the glass cabinet. Before his hand could touch it, a powerful gust of wind sent him flying.

James fell heavily, the impact nearly dislocating his internal organs. He gasped in pain, spitting out blood.

Richard, still lounging lazily in his leather chair, said, “You either leave, or I’ll throw you off the rooftop. Your choice?” His power was evident; he’d attacked James without moving.

James gritted his teeth. He knew he was no match for Richard, but he wouldn’t retreat. He rushed toward the cabinet again, determined to save Tiffany. Another gust of wind threw him back. This continued until James was too weak to rise. Richard’s eyes were cold. He waved a hand and commanded his subordinates, “Throw him out.”

“Yes!” Two subordinates carried the incapacitated James out.

“You will regret this!” James shouted, his eyes red with fury. “Richard, you will definitely regret this!” His predictions had never failed; he knew Tiffany would die within three days. His mournful cry echoed before fading.

Richard remained nonchalant. After a long silence, he murmured, “I won’t regret it.”

After James’s expulsion, the top floor was sealed. The floor-to-ceiling windows were made of super-tempered, bulletproof, explosion-resistant glass. The building’s security system was activated, preventing unauthorized entry.

Two professors in glasses emerged from the research institute’s top floor. They opened the cabinet, removed the meteorite, and approached Richard. “Mr. Hampton, are you sure?”

“Yes,” he said coldly.

The professors activated their sophisticated instruments. A tremor shook the area near Tech Building No. 9. Initially mistaken for an earthquake, it subsided quickly, attracting little attention. Carry squatted at the building's entrance, weeping.

Chapter 101

June anxiously greeted James upon his return to Luna Villa. “Mr. Quinn, why are you…”

The question was unnecessary; his injuries clearly indicated his failure to obtain the meteorite.

June helped James apply medicine in the basement’s Miracle Healer. Fortunately, Tiffany remained upstairs, unaware of the extent of his injuries.

“Mr. Quinn, is there any other way?” June asked.

After a moment of silence, James struggled to sit, attempting another prediction. To his astonishment, it showed Tiffany was no longer in danger.

Confused, he repeated the prediction, obtaining the same result. He performed five more, all with the same outcome: Tiffany was safe.

“Mr. Quinn, isn’t this good? We don’t have to worry anymore!” June exclaimed, relieved.

“Of course, I’m happy. It’s just…” James frowned, puzzled. How could this be? Two hours ago, Tiffany was in grave danger. After my visit with Richard, everything changed. Did he do something? No, that’s impossible. He seemed so heartless. Was it a coincidence? Such a miraculous coincidence?

James remained stunned. June, after tending to his wounds, went upstairs. She knocked on Tiffany’s door repeatedly, but received no answer. Finding the room empty, she rushed downstairs, asking the servant, “Where’s Miss Kelley?”

“She left in a car, taking a small suitcase. She said she was going to Traron City to see Victor Ashton,” the servant replied, confused. “Didn’t you have orders from the Ashton family?”

June, initially planning to accompany Tiffany to the Ashtons, felt anxious. However, remembering the changed prediction, she relaxed. “All right,” she said.

Tiffany’s departure was noted by several parties, including Felix, Morwen, and Jeremy, who had secretly followed her. Morwen saw this as an opportunity to eliminate Tiffany without Richard's protection. Unbeknownst to Morwen, Jeremy, disguised as the eldest son of Traron City's Cooper family, was also with her. Using the Azure Sea Royal Family's influence, he'd fabricated a convincing identity, integrating himself into Traron City's elite. This caused some confusion, but the Coopers’ wealth and a convenient relocation story silenced suspicion. Jeremy eagerly anticipated seeing Tiffany again, wondering if she would recognize him.
