Chapter 502

Two and a half hours later, the plane landed. Tiffany exited the airport, wearing no disguise and making no attempt to conceal her whereabouts. She had resolved to arrive openly, without hiding, believing this would ensure that those with ill intentions, like Felix and Morwen, would follow her from Lovell City. She wanted their schemes focused solely on her, protecting everyone else.

As she left the terminal, she saw Philip, a renowned oil painter, waiting. Slightly surprised, she greeted him, "Mr. Fremont, what brings you here?"

"I'm here to pick you up! Surprised to see me?" Philip's face lit up.

"I am," Tiffany nodded, unenthusiastically. Philip huffed in mock annoyance.

"Did you finish the landscape painting I asked for? Where's the work?" he asked.

"Well, things have been pretty busy lately," Tiffany replied with a strained smile.

Philip, a master oil painter and former Lovell School instructor, had previously urged Tiffany to become his apprentice. This began a complex relationship; he constantly pushed her to practice, while she nodded along but rarely followed through.

Tiffany sighed, remembering warning Philip, when he’d been so insistent, that she might not meet his expectations or dedicate herself to oil painting. He'd insisted, so she'd agreed. Looking back, she was sure his decision had been a mistake.

"Mr. Fremont…" Tiffany began.

"I know what you want to say, but I already told you that you're a natural talent, and my eye for talent is never wrong," Philip interrupted, waving his hand. "Come on, let's get going."

"Alright."

Halfway to the car, Philip asked, "By the way, Tiffany, didn't Mr. Hampton come with you this time? I remember you two got engaged, right?"

Tiffany had visited Traron City previously on Richard's private jet, with Philip. Regarding the engagement, Richard had kept the reception details secret. While known in Lovell City, the news hadn't reached Traron City, explaining Philip's unawareness. Tiffany chuckled without comment.

As they left the airport, Tiffany noticed a luxury business car following at a steady distance in the rearview mirror.

In Traron City, Philip offered to find accommodation for Tiffany, but she declined. "I've already booked a hotel." She felt too threatened to share her location with anyone. Philip didn't press, and the driver dropped her at the hotel entrance.

Tiffany checked in alone. As the bellhop helped with her luggage, she saw the luxury car park, and someone exit, heading into the hotel.

The elevator took her to the top floor. In her room, as the bellhop was leaving, she said, "Leave it open." Her expression was calm.

A few minutes later, the elevator chimed, and footsteps approached. Sitting on the couch, Tiffany saw a tall man, wearing oversized sunglasses. Judging by his chin and lips, he was probably handsome.

Tiffany whistled lazily. "You followed me all the way here. So, tell me, who sent you?"

The man removed his sunglasses, revealing deep-set eyes. His face was unfamiliar, but his gaze seemed oddly familiar. Tiffany frowned. "Who are you?"

He didn't answer, but pulled her door shut, murmuring, "It's safer this way." The door locked. Tiffany realized he might be an ally, not an enemy, though she couldn't place him. Given his lack of hostility, she decided to withhold judgment. She retrieved her disguise kit.

Three minutes later, disguised as the Miracle Healer, she left for the Ashton family home. The Ashtons, while anticipating her arrival, were skeptical of her age and appearance.

"Is the Miracle Healer really this young? She must be a fraud!" one scoffed.

Another added, "She doesn't look the part. She's just a young girl—how could she possibly heal anyone?"

Unfazed, Tiffany remained calm. Glancing at her watch, she said coolly, "I'm very busy. Step aside."

Her trip to Traron City to treat Victor was a side errand; her true purpose was to avoid the disaster foreseen in the Treasure Box. Staying away from Richard would prevent his death. Avoiding Moonlit Pier would prevent the fire, helicopter explosion, and Richard's accidental death. Coming to Traron City alone shifted the focus of those targeting her from Lovell City, ensuring her family's safety and protecting Richard.

The people blocking her path hesitated, cowed, and stepped aside. She reached Victor's bedside, checked his pulse, and asked, "What did you feed Mr. Ashton before his episode?"

"Calming medicine, some supplements, and the usual food," the butler replied. "Is there an issue with any of those?"

"There may be a surprise in store," Tiffany replied with a faint smile. She administered an antidote and performed acupuncture. Victor's breathing and heartbeat visibly strengthened.

Tiffany left as quickly as she'd arrived. Before leaving, she saw a photograph of Victor as a child with his teenage daughter. The girl strikingly resembled Tiffany. Tiffany froze, frowning, then returned to the hotel.

Meanwhile, Morwen arrived in Traron City. She tried to book all the rooms on Tiffany's floor, but the receptionist said someone had already reserved the entire floor. Morwen's expression soured. "Who is it?"

This was a serious obstacle. After much pressure, she learned the guest's last name: Cooper. This guest was in the room next to Tiffany's. Morwen froze. 'Cooper? Could it be Jeremy?'
