Chapter 504

Tiffany knew something would happen at Moonlit Pier. To avoid it, she had to change the location. She figured a different time and place might prevent the fire and explosion.

Morwen, unprepared for this, turned and said, "Really? Fine. I'll change the location, but don't—"

The corners of Tiffany's mouth lifted slightly as she watched the group leave. Almost as if worried Tiffany would change her mind, Morwen sent a handwritten invitation confirming the new location and time within two minutes.

Tiffany accepted. The event was the following night, so there was no rush. She then requested a room change; a large hole had been blown in the wall connecting her room to another, making it unacceptable. The hotel repeatedly apologized, but Tiffany didn't make a fuss. She had someone move her luggage. After showering, with her hair still damp, she heard the doorbell ring.

Tiffany opened the door to find the man who'd followed her all day.

"Do you need something?" Tiffany asked.

The man asked, "Mind if I come in?"

"Bang!" Tiffany slammed the door. "Why do I keep running into weirdos lately?" she muttered.

However, she suddenly remembered something, turned back, and opened the door again. The man was still there. Tiffany wouldn't have recognized his face, but his eyes were distinctly familiar. She immediately pulled him inside and slammed the door.

"Are you Jeremy Cooper?" she asked, reaching for his mask. She remembered Jeremy was a master of disguise, so the face might be fake. After a moment, she found a nearly invisible layer of disguise behind his ear. Her suspicions were confirmed. "It's you!"

Jeremy smiled, unsurprised. He hadn't expected Tiffany to recognize him after only two encounters. He wondered if his disguise had failed or if she was simply too sharp.

Tiffany was overjoyed to see her long-lost right-hand man. Once calm, she asked, "How did you end up in Traron City? And why the disguise?"

"I came to find you," Jeremy replied.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Tiffany was confused.

"Didn't I tell you? I'd always be by your side to protect you. So, here I am," Jeremy said earnestly. "Also, don't go to the ball tomorrow. Morwen planted a bomb on the yacht."

"How do you know?" Tiffany asked in surprise.

"I have people watching her," Jeremy said.

"I see." Tiffany nodded. "Actually I'm not alone, so you don't have to worry about my safety." With many subordinates from the training camp, she was confident nobody would recognize them. She'd come prepared to eliminate her enemies.

Jeremy was slightly shocked, but seeing Tiffany's calm confidence, he nodded, relieved.

Tiffany asked, "By the way, is that your real face?"

"No," Jeremy said.

"You said next time we met, you'd let me see your real face. Still counts?" Tiffany had been curious.

Jeremy hesitated. He'd promised to keep his identity secret but then decided if she wanted to see it, so be it. He was about to remove the disguise when there was a loud banging on the door, followed by frantic cries of "Help! Help!"

Tiffany opened the door to find Victor's trusted butler frantically pounding. "Damn it. I haven't put on my disguise yet," Tiffany cursed mentally.

Sure enough, seeing her real face, the butler's first reaction was, "Isn't this the Miracle Healer's room?"

Before Tiffany could respond, the butler froze, trembling uncontrollably. Tiffany frowned. "Do I look that scary?" she thought. "Mr. Mack, are you alright?" she asked, steadying him. Since her identity was exposed, she decided to be upfront. "What happened? Why did you call for help?"

Samuel snapped out of it. "Mr. Ashton's illness flared up again. The doctor said he might not make it through the night. What should we do?"

"Let's go," Tiffany said, heading out.

The situation was urgent. The butler, though with many questions, led Tiffany swiftly to the hospital. On the way, Tiffany learned Victor, whom she'd once saved, had fallen ill again after being upset by his family, who'd started dividing his assets upon learning he might not survive. This enraged Victor, landing him back in intensive care.

Chapter 501 (Partial)

When Tiffany arrived at the hospital, she skillfully used her needles to help Victor's circulation. But the old man had lost his will to live. Even with timely intervention, he might not make it through the night.

Tiffany frowned, shaking her head at the butler. Sometimes, a person's will to survive could save them, but if they'd given up hope, it was incredibly difficult to bring them back.

Samuel, near collapse, patted Victor's cheek and whispered, "Sir, please open your eyes Your granddaughter is here. Please, just open your eyes and see her. You've been searching for her, looking forward to reuniting with her for decades. Please wake up, sir. Even if you can't hold on long at least fulfill your lifelong wish before you go" His voice was choked with emotion.

Tiffany, with keen hearing, caught every word, though she didn't understand the meaning and didn't dwell on it. She assumed it was Victor's deepest wish.

After several minutes, Victor slowly opened his eyes. His vision was blurred at first, but gradually cleared. He saw a delicate young face beside his bed—a teenage girl with bright eyes and a sweet smile, remarkably like his daughter.
