Chapter 524

Grelle's face paled. She never expected that the people who undermined and embarrassed her were her own parents. This revelation not only doomed her plan to defame Tiffany but also boosted Tiffany's reputation.

"How can I let that happen?" Grelle composed herself, rising from the ground. She then seemingly noticed the reporters and rushed forward. "Hey, didn't the interview just end? Let's cut the rest," she said, wanting them to pretend nothing had happened. This way, even if she failed to smear Tiffany, she wouldn't be implicated.

But it was too late.

The reporters were momentarily stunned. "Cut what? This is a livestream platform," they replied.

Grelle stiffened, her expression changing drastically. "Livestream?"

"That's right," the reporter said, looking at her strangely. "Didn't you know before the interview? Your company should have known. We're all doing live interviews and broadcasts."

The reporter omitted the fact that, as a small media outlet, even a live broadcast wouldn't normally attract many viewers, let alone cause a major stir. However, a coincidence occurred.

After a meeting, Richard returned to his office. Tyrone reported, "Mr. Hampton, I just saw Mrs. Hampton on a livestream platform. She seems to be having trouble with someone…"

"What?" Richard's voice rose, his brow furrowed. "Who dares to make things difficult for my wife? Does he want to die?"

"Show me," Richard demanded.

"Yes, Mr. Hampton," Tyrone replied, immediately handing over his phone.

The livestream showed a small media platform, paused on Grelle saying, "Tiffany, don't misunderstand. I have nothing to do with Mr. Hampton…" She'd intended to imply something and discredit Richard.

The office fell silent. Tyrone cautiously raised his head, noting the darkening expression on Richard's handsome face. Disgust was evident; even the veins in his hand bulged. It was complete rejection. Richard, a notorious clean freak, wouldn't tolerate any woman calling him by name.

Tyrone, aware of this, asked, "Mr. Hampton, should we ban her?"

"Yes, ban her," Richard said mercilessly.

The livestream had just switched to Tiffany. The girl sat lazily in a rattan chair, bathed in sunlight that made her skin glow like a diamond, appearing innocent, pure, and seductive. Richard's frown finally eased.

When the livestream ended, the village couple profusely thanked Tiffany. Richard, vaguely guessing Tiffany's plan, chuckled and instructed, "Promote this livestream and release the Melvor Mountain development progress." He'd built bridges and roads there in Tiffany's name. If she wanted to do charity, he would help. Now that it was exposed, it was perfect.

"Yes, Mr. Hampton," Tyrone immediately complied. As he was leaving, Richard said, "You did a good job. Your salary will double."

Tyrone was overjoyed. His excitement was palpable. "Thank you, Mr. Hampton," he said.

Other employees were envious. Who would have thought Tyrone could double his salary just by scrolling through his phone? Many privately asked for his secret, but Tyrone smiled mysteriously, remaining tight-lipped. He thought, 'Because I'm smart. I saw this coming. It pays to be on Mrs. Hampton's team.'

In the film studio complex, the sun shone brightly, yet Grelle felt like she was in an icehouse. The livestream video of her interview exploded. Countless netizens posted similar comments:

  • "[Wow, I apologize for insulting Tiffany. You can't judge a book by its cover. I'll be more careful with my words.]"
  • "[I can't believe Melvor Mountain's road construction cost billions of dollars!]"
  • "[Mr. Hampton paid for it, doing charity in his wife's name. Another day of forced PDA!]"
  • "[Wait, am I the only one who thinks Grelle is phony? Knowing all this, why didn't she mention it? Her bowing was embarrassing!]"
  • "[Me too! Her parents telling the truth was awkward for her!]"

The livestream video topped trending topics within minutes, racking up forwards, comments, and likes in ten minutes. It was a storm.

The most affected person was Grelle. Her phony words were made into memes. Netizens weren't fools. While public opinion control could sway some, digging deeper revealed the truth. After Tiffany's airport incident, countless people criticized her. But the livestream showed Grelle's words were deliberately misleading. She even bowed and apologized.

If not for her parents' unexpected appearance and their repeated thanks to Tiffany, Grelle would have likely misled netizens again. It's one thing to not be popular; it's another to be two-faced, especially for someone like Grelle, who bit the hand that fed her. Everyone suspected she was jealous of Tiffany and wanted her husband.

The situation was one-sided. Grelle's "national girl" image, crafted by a previous variety show, was shattered.

The reporters left. Once alone, Grelle confronted Tiffany. "You did this on purpose, right? You deliberately called my parents to undermine me. I didn't expect you to be so vicious."

June laughed, furious. Grelle's ability to deflect blame and distort the truth was astonishing.

Tiffany smiled faintly, eating fruit. Under Grelle's angry glare, she said lazily, "Didn't I tell you not to mess with me?"

Tiffany thought, 'I've tolerated her more than once. How dare she!'

"You…" Grelle trembled with rage, lunging at Tiffany and raising her hand to strike. But the Sandys intervened, pulling her away before she could hit Tiffany. Justin then slapped her. "Bastard!"

Grelle's face tilted. The Sandys didn't know the full story, but they saw their daughter's outrageous behavior. "How dare she attack her benefactor who helped our village? We must teach her a lesson!"
