Chapter 525

Grelle's cheek was red and swollen. She covered her face and looked up in disbelief. "Dad, you hit me? Do you know what this woman did to me? Instead of helping your daughter, you're helping an outsider?"

"I'm warning you again," Justin said furiously. "Be more polite to Miss Kelley. Otherwise, I'll beat you up, you heartless ingrate."

The Sandys had been farmers all their lives, simple folk unfamiliar with life's complexities. They knew Tiffany had helped Melvor Mountain, benefiting them and future generations, and felt obligated to repay her kindness rather than argue.

Grelle, extremely agitated, covered her face and said hatefully, "I don't have parents like you." She then ran off.

The Sandys apologized profusely to Tiffany. "Miss Kelley, we're so sorry. We didn't discipline our daughter properly. Please don't take it to heart. We apologize for Grelle."

"It's okay," Tiffany said calmly, shaking her head. "Mr. and Mrs. Sandy, you should chase after her. It's not safe outside; there's too much traffic."

"Okay, okay," they said, bowing apologetically and chasing after Grelle, wicker baskets still on their backs.

June sighed with relief. "By the way, Tiffany," she asked, "was that the show you were talking about? I was too impatient. Grelle's pretentious performance and dramatic exit were quite amusing."

"She brought this on herself," Tiffany yawned, her eyes filled with fatigue and a hint of coldness. "Richard took me away before I could argue with her at the airport yesterday. The online criticism after I pushed her was intense. I didn't want the blame, so I had someone inform the Sandys of Grelle's whereabouts."

Grelle had left Melvor Mountain without a word, signing with a company in Lovell City and debuting as a famous actress without contacting her family. Ascendant Entertainment promoted her, ignoring her background. Grelle, enjoying city life, never bothered to return, unwilling to acknowledge the parents who embarrassed her. She had only herself to blame for today's events.

Tiffany stood from her rattan chair. "Let's go home."

"Okay," June replied, following her out of the film studio complex to the parking lot.

Chapter 325 November 23

Halfway there, they unexpectedly met Wendy, surrounded by four or five assistants and five or six bodyguards, as if showcasing the Trujillo family's wealth.

Wendy saw Tiffany immediately. Tiffany's presence commanded attention; she seemed to radiate light, always noticed first. She was dazzling and captivating, her beauty striking to both men and women.

Wendy's lips pursed, jealousy evident. "Why are you here? How unlucky to run into you."

Tiffany raised an eyebrow, smiling faintly. "You don't say." (Implying she felt equally unlucky).

Wendy snorted, about to leave, but hesitated, turning back. "I'm so jealous of you. So jealous." (Thinking: How does Tiffany get Richard to adore her? How can she act normal after injuring him at the engagement party?). She'd waited to see Tiffany dumped, but Richard had suppressed all negative publicity.

The news of Richard marrying the Azure Sea Royal Family's Saintess had spread, but it never happened. Tiffany had everything.

Wendy, rolling her eyes excessively, tripped over a brick and fell, her nose bleeding.

June laughed. "Your punishment came quickly."

Wendy, after struggling up, angrily slapped her assistant. "What's wrong with you? Why didn't you help me?"

The assistant, aggrieved, replied, "I'm sorry, Miss Trujillo. I didn't mean to." (She fell so suddenly; who could react in time?)

"Take me to the hospital!" Wendy cried, clutching her bleeding nose.
