Chapter 536
This time, it wasn't a mirage; it was a real place, tangible and visible. The villa's door stood wide open, and Felix's distinctive scent wafted out. Tiffany sniffed cautiously, then gently tugged Richard's sleeve. "I sense Felix is inside," she whispered, "but there must be many bombs buried around the villa. I can smell them."
Felix must have known they were coming. He was undoubtedly prepared. The underground bombs were clearly part of his ambush.
Richard nodded and instructed Garry to send a few subordinates to investigate. Just then, the villa door swung open automatically, revealing Felix on the second-floor balcony. He wore a black suit with subtle dark patterns on the back, appearing entirely devoid of femininity. Instead, he exuded a chilling aura.
Tiffany looked up, meeting Felix's dark gaze. His expression was unreadable—complex, deep, and charged with an indescribable emotion. She quickly averted her eyes, grabbing Richard's hand.
"Shall we go in?" she asked.
"Okay," Richard replied.
Hand in hand, they strode into the villa. The remaining subordinates waited outside, the door closing behind them. The interior was dimly lit, prompting Tiffany to squeeze Richard's hand tightly. She lowered her voice. "He can hypnotize. Be careful."
She'd learned from past mistakes. Felix had hypnotized her once before, nearly causing a catastrophic event. This time, she wouldn't be so easily manipulated; she could even counter-hypnotize him if the opportunity arose.
Richard chuckled, scratching her palm. "Don't worry, your husband is amazing," he said, his words carrying a double meaning.
Tiffany blushed, remaining silent.

Richard and Tiffany proceeded unhindered to the villa's rooftop. It was an open-air terrace. Under the blazing sun, the ground shimmered gold, a scene both beautiful and strangely peaceful. Yet, Tiffany couldn't relax.
She turned to Felix, who stood by the balcony. Her gaze was sharp. "You lured us here, didn't you?" she accused. The coincidence was too striking. Felix, a master of concealment, had suddenly revealed his location in the desert. It was impossible to believe he hadn't orchestrated everything.
Felix turned, the demonic aura in his eyes intensifying. "You know me well," he said.
His meaning was unclear.
"Bah!" Tiffany scoffed inwardly. Who wants to understand you? You flatter yourself!
A gust of wind swept past as Richard lunged at Felix.
"Do you have a death wish?" Richard snarled, his thoughts consumed by fury at Felix's audacity in taunting his wife.
Richard's attack was vicious and powerful. Felix couldn't dodge or escape. A ruthless glint flashed in Felix's eyes as he met Richard's blow.
Their fight was a terrifying spectacle of flying sand and stones, obscuring the sun. The scene was apocalyptic. Tiffany couldn't even open her eyes, only hearing the wind's howl and the roar of the storm.
After what felt like an eternity, the sandstorm subsided. Tiffany rubbed her eyes, revealing a scene of utter devastation. The villa was wrecked; the walls were scarred and stained. Only the spot where she stood remained untouched. She wondered if Richard and Felix had deliberately avoided her, or if Richard had been protecting her.
She searched, but found neither Richard nor Felix.
How did this happen? she wondered.
Her head swam. Then Garry and Sidney rushed over. "No! The bombs are about to detonate! We must leave immediately!"

They turned simultaneously, their voices laced with alarm. "Where's Richard?"
Tiffany wanted to ask if they'd seen him, but the words caught in her throat. "No, I have to go back and look," she said, then ran back to the villa, fearing she hadn't searched thoroughly enough. Perhaps Richard was injured and hidden somewhere. How else could two people vanish so completely?
Garry and Sidney, horrified, immediately followed. "You can't go! It's about to explode!"
"Richard's inside! He's inside!" Tiffany repeated frantically, her face pale and panicked.
They rushed into the villa, but found nothing. Tiffany refused to give up, but suddenly, a massive explosion erupted beneath her feet, sending her flying.
"Pfft!"
Tiffany landed heavily, spitting blood. Her face was ashen; her lips, pale. More explosions followed. Garry and Sidney, abandoning all caution, scooped her up and fled. They escaped just as the upper floors of the villa collapsed.
Tiffany coughed violently, struggling to her feet. "What if he's inside? Let me go! I have to find him…"
Sidney frowned. "You're seriously injured. Let me treat your wounds first. Tiffany, don't worry. Richard isn't in the ruins. Look."
He showed her a tablet. "I forgot this earlier. The red dot shows Richard's location."
A red dot appeared on the tablet, far across the desert.
How could Richard and Felix have traversed such a distance so quickly?
Tiffany was stunned, but relief washed over her when she considered their extraordinary abilities.
