Chapter 544

Morwen regretted her lack of caution regarding trespassing. Tiffany's pass, however, was legitimate, precluding any legal ramifications. Furthermore, numerous witnesses, including Morwen's subordinates and innocent bystanders, prevented any rash action. Even as a Saintess, Morwen couldn't risk the immense sin of mass murder.

Restraining herself, Morwen glared at Tiffany and retorted coldly, "As a guest, is this how you treat your hostess?" She gestured to the knife at her throat. The blade's sharpness was terrifying. Morwen admitted to herself, "If Tiffany wanted to kill me, it would be instantaneous."

"Alright, alright," Tiffany said lazily, pocketing her switchblade. The crisis subsided, but Morwen immediately sought the protection of her subordinates, fearing further hostage situations.

Her subordinates, hesitant, quietly asked, "Miss Xanthus, are we still attacking?"

"Trash!" Morwen snapped. "Get lost!" She silently cursed her past failures to eliminate Tiffany. Her subordinates, chastised, silently holstered their weapons.

Garry and John escorted Tiffany towards the exit, followed by their entourage. June remained vigilant, anticipating a possible ambush, though Morwen remained outwardly passive, deferring any action until a more private opportunity. Thus, Tiffany and her party reached the Azure Sea Royal Family's city unimpeded.

The city's vibrancy was striking. Bustling streets were lined with trees whose green leaves were tipped with brilliant red, creating a captivating spectacle. Garry admired the trees, remarking on his desire to transplant some to his villa.

Tiffany identified them as October Maples, explaining their unique autumn and winter coloration and their restricted growth to the Azure Sea Royal Family's unique environment, dispelling Garry's hopes of transplantation. Garry was surprised by her extensive knowledge.

They arrived at the airport, boarded their vehicle, and headed towards the inner city. The towering buildings and overcast sky, remnants of a recent rain, created a dramatic backdrop. The car stopped at the palace entrance.

Tiffany, upon searching for Jeremy, realized his absence. Without him as a guide, entry into the palace, even as the rightful owner, was impossible.

Garry, noticing Tiffany's frown, asked, "Are you going in? To see His Majesty? I heard he's in a coma; entry might be difficult."

Tiffany simply stated, "Then let's go," turning away without hesitation. Nighttime entry was a viable alternative, particularly with Jeremy's assistance.

As they prepared to leave, Morwen, seemingly transformed, intervened. "We know each other. I've arranged accommodations. Come with me." The offer, though couched as a question, brooked no refusal. More than ten cars surrounded them, effectively blocking their departure.

Tiffany, her expression mostly hidden, nodded subtly. "I'd like that."

June, sensing a trap, warned, "Miss Kelley, you can't go! It's like walking into a tiger's den!"

Tiffany, her hand gently resting on June's, revealed a determined glint in her eyes. "June, you're wrong. It's hard to say who's in danger." June, seeing this change, complied.

Morwen, surprised by Tiffany's acquiescence, found her plan streamlined. Under the guise of escort, Morwen's vehicles surrounded Tiffany's convoy. Their destination: the Trojan Horse, a luxurious gray castle with ornate sculptures, a fountain, and vibrant roses.

Morwen, boasting of her hospitality, assured Tiffany of her subordinates' protection and abundant servants. She emphasized her commitment to their comfort.

Tiffany responded calmly, "Miss Xanthus, if you wish to entertain us, why not join us?" She wondered if Morwen's hasty retreat suggested fear.

Morwen, inwardly seething but maintaining outward composure, retorted, "You're not worthy of my personal entertainment."
