Chapter 573

Despite her dislike of Melody—and her fervent wish for Melody's disappearance—Tiffany was terrified by the unfolding scene. She frowned slightly. A fleeting glance had just moments before revealed the person in the car: Avianna, the makeup artist Melody had assaulted, causing a miscarriage. Tiffany had explicitly instructed June to pay Avianna to remain silent and cooperative. She hadn't anticipated Avianna's impulsive rage, leading to such extreme retaliation. "Stupid. Just plain stupid," she thought.

Before Tiffany could fully process this, the scene escalated dramatically. Melody reacted with surprising speed, darting aside and pulling another student in front of her. The car's brakes screeched as it stopped inches from the terrified student. The spectacle was heart-stopping. Chaos erupted. Someone called the police; others rushed to help. Ten minutes later, Avianna was apprehended.

Before being taken away, Avianna turned to Melody, her voice filled with anguish and fury. "Give me back my child! Give me back my child!" she screamed.

The incident of Melody causing Avianna's miscarriage had been suppressed, but many knew about it. Leaks were inevitable. However, after Kenneth broke off their engagement, public interest in Melody waned, and the episode was largely forgotten. Now, Avianna had resurrected the gossip, transforming it into undeniable truth. Avianna's cries echoed in the chaos: "Give me back my baby! You monster! You heartless woman! You'll get what's coming to you—I curse you!" Tiffany watched silently as Avianna was forced into the police car. With a sigh, she instructed her driver, "Let's go."

Originally, Tiffany had hoped Avianna would systematically expose Melody. Tiffany also wanted to expose Melody's involvement in her deskmate's death and Ged's indirect death. Avianna had agreed, but her actions were incredibly foolish! Driving a car at Melody in broad daylight? Reckless and unbelievably stupid! Not only had Avianna failed to harm Melody, but she was now in police custody.

Tiffany rubbed her temples in frustration, exhaling sharply. To her surprise, she saw Avianna again at the school the next day! It seemed she'd been released after less than a day.

Tiffany froze briefly before casually asking John to investigate. It didn't take long to learn the truth: Avianna was ill and mentally unstable. Her actions had caused a stir, but legally, she couldn't be held accountable. "No wonder she was so bold," Tiffany thought.

Raising an eyebrow, Tiffany stepped out of the car. Avianna was crouched in front of the school with a loudspeaker, broadcasting her accusations. Her message was clear: she blamed Melody for the miscarriage. Worse, Avianna insinuated Melody's involvement in murder. Every word echoed, ensuring everyone heard.

When Melody returned to school, rumors swirled. Some dismissed Avianna's accusations, citing her mental instability. Others, however, found her claims disturbingly credible—ninety percent, to be exact. Melody's image suffered greatly. Opinions were sharply divided.

Amid the chaos, Tiffany remained calm, focusing on missed lessons and dealing with Richard, who'd taken to entering her window at night. Days and nights were busy.

Yawning, Tiffany left school that day, only to have a car pull up. Richard's face appeared at the window. "Get in," he commanded, his voice low and magnetic. Tiffany obeyed.

Once seated, Richard said, "The wedding dress design is ready. I'm taking you to try it on." Tiffany froze, dazed and confused. She'd completely forgotten her wedding! Richard's face darkened. He pinched her cheek, then lightly bit her lips. "No backing out," he said firmly.

"I'm not," Tiffany replied. She had no intention of backing out. Mimicking his tone from the night before, she snuggled closer, whispering in his ear, "Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for you." Her voice was soft, sweet, and tempting. The car windows went up, the privacy curtains closed, and Richard wasted no time.

Pinning Tiffany beneath him in the backseat, he murmured lazily, "You really are a little demon." She unknowingly seduced him with innocent flirtations. He couldn't tell if it was his lack of self-control or if Tiffany was born to drive him wild. He playfully bit her neck, leaving faint red marks.

Tiffany gasped, her cheeks flushed. "You're doing it again!" she protested, recalling June's accidental discovery of a similar mark.

Richard chuckled, leaning closer. "So… why don't you bite back?" His tone sent a shiver down her spine. Tiffany clenched her teeth. If he wanted to play, she'd return the favor. "Fine! You ask for it, then!" she thought, and their playful battle began. The Maybach swayed slightly. John, the driver, remained calm. A thought crossed his mind: 'It won't be long before Richard has a kid.'

Their tussle ended with both bearing marks. Tiffany's eyes widened at the marks on Richard's collarbone. Her face flushed scarlet. Then she noticed similar marks on her own neck. 'Well, this round ended in a tie,' she thought. Thankfully, it was late fall; she could hide the marks.

This gave her boldness. "Still planning to take me to try on wedding dresses?" she asked.

"Of course," Richard chuckled, tapping her nose. "Drive," he ordered.

"Yes, Mr. Hampton," John replied, starting the engine and driving towards their destination. The car stopped outside a renowned designer's exclusive studio, known for its exorbitantly priced wedding dresses. Tiffany glanced at the sign as Richard took her hand, guiding her inside with a smile.
