Chapter 585

"Satisfied in what way?" It was a tacit understanding.

Tiffany glared at him and stomped her foot in anger. "Stop talking nonsense!"

She stomped her foot again and reached out to cover his mouth. However, she lost her balance and fell into his arms. From others' perspective, it seemed she had thrown herself at him.

She staggered. Tiffany got up, intending to dodge, but Richard hugged her waist tightly.

The atmosphere in the car grew heated. Fortunately, the million-dollar car provided a secluded space; no one outside could see what was happening inside.

John drove straight ahead. A privacy curtain obscured his view of the back seat. Even without the curtain, he wouldn't have dared to look. However, the back seat remained unusually quiet.

Tiffany remained silent, afraid to make a sound. Her torment continued until they reached the school gate. Upon arrival, she immediately left the car.

Before entering the school, she turned and saw a faint smile on Richard's handsome face beneath the half-lowered car window. He looked in her direction, his cold eyes surprisingly gentle.

In contrast, Tiffany felt angry and embarrassed, recalling his recent actions. She hurried into the school. The luxury car parked briefly by the roadside before driving away.

As Melody entered the school, she saw the luxury car departing. Its unique license plate denoted the owner's supreme status. Other girls gathered nearby, whispering enviously.

"Tiffany is truly lucky."

"I know. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever have a man as good as Tiffany's."

Hearing their conversation, Melody looked away and continued walking. She had missed a golden opportunity. Not only had Grelle, that piece of trash, failed to seriously injure Tiffany, but he had also implicated her. He was sentenced to several years in prison and still intended to drag her down.

However, the police investigation yielded nothing. Melody had been at school all day and had no apparent motive. Furthermore, she had only spoken to Zoe in the field for less than two minutes. No matter how suspicious she seemed, there was no concrete evidence.

Lacking evidence, the police naturally ceased questioning Melody. Therefore, Grelle's charges remained unconfirmed.

Everyone assumed Zoe had been sleepwalking and then gone to the ancient town without anyone knowing. This conclusion prevented suspicion from falling on Melody.

Melody rubbed her chin. "The Obedience Poison is quite useful, but I only have one left. I need to use it as a last resort."

Thinking of Tiffany's lavish wedding next week, she sought ways to sabotage it. After all, she had gone to great lengths to marry Kenneth, only to have the engagement called off publicly, while Tiffany was about to marry Richard with such fanfare. "I have to ruin her wedding!"

Melody's heart burned with hatred, fueled by the envious chatter around her. They were all admiring Tiffany's expensive car.

"I'm so envious of Tiffany!"

"If possible, I want to be her. Even if it's just a dream, at least I'd wake up laughing." A girl joked. Melody's eyes sharpened, a cold smile playing on her lips. "Yes, Tiffany may be beautiful and well-mannered. But what if her mind were swapped? Would Richard still recognize her?"

Melody silently clenched her fists. Unnoticed, she turned and left the school. As before, she went to find Lorenzo.

Lorenzo was vengeful and deeply hated Tiffany. After all, she and Felix had cornered and nearly killed him.

Melody and Lorenzo agreed to meet in a park. Since Kenneth had nearly caused a disaster during their last meeting, Melody was more cautious.

Perhaps sharing a common goal, Lorenzo arrived early. They sat on a bench and spoke frankly.

"Lorenzo, you said Mr. Quaid has a new technology that can swap minds. Is it true?" To an outsider, it would sound ridiculous. However, the world held endless possibilities.

Lorenzo nodded, lowering his voice. "Yes, it's a technological device my boss invested heavily in. It's experimental; we're still testing components. They should begin the initial trial in two days."

"Two days?" That was too long for Melody. She frowned, lacking better options. "Lorenzo, I need a favor. Is that alright?"

"Let me be clear. I may refuse. But what's your plan?"

"I know." Melody waved her hand, moving closer. She revealed a shockingly bold plan. "I want Tiffany to experience a living hell. I want her to see firsthand that the man she loves doesn't love her. He won't even recognize her. I want to see her world crumble, her dreams shattered!"

A ruthlessness belying her innocent appearance appeared on Melody's face. "Lorenzo, will you help me?"

Lorenzo was tempted. He had suffered a devastating loss at the hands of a woman, losing face, self-esteem, and even his boss's respect. His suffering was Tiffany's doing. Given the chance, he would do anything to inflict similar pain.

Melody's plan aligned with his desires. "Alright, I'll help."

Melody breathed a sigh of relief, a genuine smile brightening her face. She was determined to win.

After discussing her plan, Melody left satisfied.

However, she missed something. Behind the park bench stood a stone sculpture. Behind it, Kenneth had stood silently for a long time.

Only when Melody and Lorenzo left, in different directions, did he emerge. His eyes held a mysterious glint.

Tiffany sat in her studio. A half-finished Chrysanthemum Plucking Painting lay on the easel. As she prepared to continue, a light knock sounded. Tiffany looked up to see a familiar young man.

"Long time no see, Tiffany."

"Long time no see, Kenneth."
