Chapter 593

Tiffany wanted to destroy the mind-swap machine to shatter Melody's hopes of regaining her body. But this wasn't enough.

Tiffany rubbed her chin, pondering. She went to the control panel and hacked into the advanced device's system. After tampering with some code, she retracted her hand and smiled at Richard. "Done. Let's go!"

With Richard present, leaving the cabin felt like walking through an empty house. A gust of wind whipped past, blurring Tiffany's vision. When she regained her senses, she was five hundred yards from the cabin. What kind of terrifying strength is this? she thought.

Tiffany hadn't seen it happen, nor had the other subordinates in the villa. They only felt a flutter of their hair—nothing unusual. Those on their phones didn't even look up.

Outside the villa, the blazing sun felt like fire. Tiffany turned and saw the unconscious "Wilma"—Melody in Wilma's body—lying motionless on the asphalt.

Melody looked pitiful. Her attempt to frame Tiffany had backfired spectacularly. Tiffany had witnessed Melody's hysteria and disbelief in the basement. Melody had likely believed her plan was flawless. Who could have guessed it would boomerang?

Tiffany smiled coldly and called June. "Hello, June. Get someone to pick up Wilma."

Wilma came from a humble background. Like Tiffany, her husband was a gambling addict. She had troublesome in-laws and a secret lover who was a butcher. If Melody remained in Wilma's body, her life would be a living hell.

June, waiting nearby, arrived within three minutes. She glanced at "Wilma" and received a confirming look from Tiffany.

Her doubts confirmed, June was shocked. No wonder Tiffany wanted someone from a simple background like Wilma. She knew about Melody's wicked plot!

That day's situation had been extremely dangerous. June had been moments from being sent into the experiment module to swap bodies with Melody. One mistake, and it could have been over for Tiffany.

Looking again at the unconscious "Wilma," June's hatred intensified. Melody was ruthless and vicious. Had she succeeded, she would have tyrannized Tiffany's life. Fortunately, she'd reaped what she'd sown. Serves her right!

June picked up Melody and put her in the car. She nodded at Tiffany and Richard before driving away.

Watching the taillights disappear, Tiffany raised an eyebrow and gazed coldly.

Remembering Melody's role in Ged's death, Tiffany wished she could skin her alive. She even wondered if placing Melody in Wilma's body was sufficient retribution.

In comparison, sparing Melody's life was almost merciful. After all, Melody was responsible for the deaths of Ged and Jade.

Melody gradually opened her eyes. She saw a dim, swaying light. But it wasn't the light that was swaying; it was her.

A fat man was having sex with her. He looked anxious and impatient, trying to find the right position.

Melody was stunned and disgusted. She kicked him off the bed. "Who are you? How dare you? Do you know who I am? How dare you treat me like this?" She was immediately slapped.

The man got up, grimacing in pain, his fat face contorted with fury.

"Shut up, you fat bitch! You don't even serve your husband well. Have you lost your mind? How dare you kick me? I'll teach you a lesson!" He pulled out his belt and hit the bed, making a dull thud.

Melody didn't even dodge. Her mind was reeling. What did he say? Did he say I'm his wife?

Memories of events before she fainted flooded back, hitting her like a truck. She was an old, ugly, fat woman.

The man, reeking of blood, must be her husband. I can't do this

Melody screamed hysterically, wanting to bang her head against the wall and die. But she was hit with the belt. "It hurts, it hurts! Stop hitting me!"

"Good that you know it hurts!" he spat. "Do you still dare disobey me?"

"I don't I don't Not anymore!" Melody hated her new self, but the will to live prevailed. She begged for mercy.

After she submitted, he threw away his belt. She cried so hard her face was smeared with snot and tears. Her husband spat, "You're fucking disgusting!" and left, slamming the door.

After a long time, Melody raised her head. She was in a dilapidated house—cracked walls, peeling paint, dirty and messy.

A surge of hatred filled her. She regretted her actions.

She regretted killing Jade instead of Tiffany. She regretted not letting Zoe die with Tiffany when she used the Obedience Poison on Zoe. She regretted pushing Ged. She should have framed Tiffany and made her suffer.

Had she known this would happen, she would have done anything to make Tiffany disappear. She hated herself.

Melody gripped the bedsheets. Her face was filled with madness and viciousness.

After a long time, she wiped her tears and got up. She endured the pain and walked to the door. She had to leave.

If Lorenzo would help, she could turn things around. With this hope, she opened the door to find a hostile old couple standing there. Her heart skipped a beat.
