Chapter 609
Perhaps in her final moments, Melody regretted setting off the bomb. She might have realized that had she not, she could have lived a few more days. The surrounding sounds gradually faded, and the dust settled.
Tiffany was about to examine the wreckage when a suit jacket suddenly landed on her head, obscuring the chaotic scene. The invisible barrier around her disappeared. Richard then appeared, wrapping an arm around her waist and gently patting her. His voice was cold, yet tinged with helplessness. "What's there to look at?"
Tugging the jacket off, Tiffany mumbled, "I'm just curious." But some scenes were better left unseen.
Richard glanced around with disdain before decisively pulling Tiffany from the room, his arm still around her waist. The commotion alerted the guards outside, and June, along with several prison officers, rushed in. Seeing Richard, they froze. They had been guarding the room, yet hadn't noticed him enter. Everyone was utterly confused.
Richard remained unfazed. His expression indifferent, he said calmly, "My wife was startled. We'll leave first." He then led Tiffany from the room.
The guards, stunned but respectful, quickly recovered. They nodded, saying, "Mr. Hampton, please take care."
June intended to follow but paused, seeing Tiffany unharmed. She sighed in relief and continued her patrol. That had definitely been an explosion. But this was a prison with simple facilities. June couldn't understand why there was a bomb.
Curious, June approached the cell. From a distance, she saw the chaos within. Several female guards were vomiting, leaning against the walls.
'What in the world happened?' June paused, then went straight to the monitoring room to review the footage. The events were clearly captured. When she saw Melody detonate the micro-bomb hidden within herself, June screamed, "Miss Kelley!"
Even knowing Tiffany was fine, the sight was jarring. Just before the blast, it seemed all danger was deflected from Tiffany. The footage looked like special effects; unreal, far beyond human capabilities.

If this video were to spread, it would cause a sensation. Without hesitation, June pressed the delete button, erasing all footage of that night. The prison guard in the monitoring room was stunned, unable to react before the screen went blank.
He asked, "What are you?"
June said, "Remember, you saw nothing. Understand?"
"Understood." The guard nodded.

After all, Melody was a condemned criminal; her punishment had arrived. It didn't matter how it happened. June left, feeling at ease.
Later, at Royal Bay, Richard carried Tiffany back to her room.
She protested, "I'm so dirty. I need a bath!" Even though nothing had touched her, the experience left her feeling unclean. She needed to be completely clean.
"Alright," Richard nodded, carrying her to the bathroom. They quickly undressed, discarding their shoes in the trash for the servants. Tiffany soaked in the warm tub, enjoying the bubbles.
An hour later, both were freshly cleaned. Tiffany sighed, "This feels so much better." But immediately, she was pressed onto the bed.
A low chuckle came from above her. "Yeah, it's quite nice."
The next day, the official statement declared Melody's death a prison accident. Many at Lovell School murmured in disbelief.
"Guess it's karma."
"Yeah, it definitely is," a girl chimed in, "The person most pleased by Melody's death is probably Tiffany, right?"
Zoe entered the classroom, overhearing the conversation. Enraged, she retorted, "Are you crazy? A murderer died. She brought it upon herself. What does it have to do with Tiffany?"
The girl smirked. "Why so worked up? I'm just saying something. I can say whatever I want. Besides, it's true!"

The girl raised her chin. "Fine. I'm not afraid of you. I'll be blunt. Melody hated Tiffany, and it's Tiffany's fault. If Tiffany hadn't been bullying Melody, eyeing what wasn't hers, and stealing her fiancé, Kenneth, Melody wouldn't have gone crazy. Melody committed murder because she was forced into it!"
Zoe was stunned. She cursed inwardly, Moron.
Furious, Zoe rolled up her sleeves and rushed over, saying, "I'll beat your ass, you idiot!" She slapped the girl repeatedly. The two wrestled, the girl's face swelling. Others were confused, unsure whether to intervene. Most stepped in, some pulling Zoe away, others restraining the girl.
"Let go! Don't stop me! I'm going to make her submit!" Zoe yelled. She hated people who played the victim. If Jade and Ged's parents heard this, they'd beat this person senseless! She cursed inwardly, "What a fucking idiot! Disgusting!"
"Alright, alright, calm down. Don't argue. We're all classmates," a peacemaker intervened.
Zoe, with tears in her eyes, calmed down. But the girl taunted, "What's wrong? Can't I speak my mind? You're just Tiffany's dog, barking at anyone who insults her. I did insult her. Come on, bite me!"
She smirked, arrogant. Zoe was furious.
Before Zoe could react, a ruler flew in from outside, landing squarely across the girl's grinning mouth!
