Chapter 632
Morwen laughed uncontrollably. Tiffany merely glanced at her and remained silent. At that moment, the lounge door opened, and June's voice called from outside, "Tiffany, Mr. Hampton is looking for you."
"Come in," Tiffany replied.
June entered, and upon seeing Morwen, she exclaimed, "Wasn't she thrown into the river?"
"Yes, I had someone rescue her," Tiffany casually explained, before continuing, "June, we're not accepting consultations these next few days. Also, have someone prepare the Sunny Herb; I need it tonight."
"Sunny Herb?" June, familiar with the herb's properties, asked in surprise, "It promotes blood flow. Tiffany, why do you need it?" She thought, Shouldn't they be enjoying their evening? Why the sudden surgery?
Tiffany smiled and said, "Just do it."
"Okay!" June, unsuspecting, nodded and left.
Morwen clicked her tongue, praising, "Your acting was superb! I almost believed you!"
Ignoring the sarcasm, Tiffany stood elegantly and instructed John, guarding the door, "Lock her up. Don't hurt her." The poison ensured that any pain Morwen felt would also affect Richard.
Tiffany's certainty about the Double Love Poison stemmed from Morwen's smug declaration that Tiffany wouldn't dare kill her, and from Morwen's self-inflicted wounds. Recalling Richard's earlier, inexplicable reaction, the conclusion was obvious. Before the Double Love Poison's effects were reversed, Morwen couldn't die, nor could she experience pain.
Tiffany left the lounge, adding, "Treat her wounds."
John, though outside, had heard everything. Initially, learning of Richard's poisoning, he'd been furious, nearly rushing in to kill Morwen. However, upon hearing Tiffany's blood transfusion plan, he was shocked and conflicted. He'd only seen Richard's love for Tiffany, forgetting Tiffany's silent sacrifices. Like the time she was hypnotized and stabbed Richard, only to fight to break free!
He even recalled her willingness to risk blindness to obtain the herb
John's eyes reddened. With unprecedented respect, he bowed, "Okay." Before, he'd greeted Tiffany as Royal Bay's hostess; now, he truly saw her as his master. His earlier anger towards her because of Richard's injuries filled him with shame.
Tiffany, sensitive to others' emotions, raised an eyebrow and calmly said, "This is what I want." The blood transfusion method was perilous; if she wasn't careful, something terrible could happen. However, Miracle Healer's potent herbs minimized the risk.
John looked at her, sighing, "Mr. Hampton said the same thing."
Intrigued, Tiffany asked, "When?"
John explained, "Previously, James tried to steal the ore from Tech Building No. 9. He claimed it was the only substance that could act as a magnetic field to remove your death curse. Mr. Hampton refused, having someone expel James. He didn't give it to him because" John paused, "Mr. Hampton had already planned to help you avert this curse; it succeeded, but the process was terrifying"
In a soundproofed room, special materials contained the ore's energy. But Richard, at the magnetic field's center, endured excruciating pain with each energy release.
John shuddered recalling that day. Richard emerged six hours later, barely able to stand. He'd never seen Richard so weakened. He'd asked, "Mr. Hampton, was it worth it?"
Richard's response mirrored Tiffany's: "This is what I want." He didn't care about James's accusations.
Tiffany's mind blanked. Later, back at the banquet hall, she was lost in thought when Richard appeared.
"What's wrong? You're distant," he asked.
Meeting his gazeโcold, yet with worry and tenderness only for herโTiffany's throat tightened. She threw herself into his arms.
Chapter 632 (Continued)
"You fool! It wasn't worth it"
This life differed from the last. Fate dictated she couldn't avoid this curse, a fact the Treasure Box warned her of. She'd deliberately let Morwen attack, believing following the original path would negate the curse. Morwen's destruction of the cruise ship had seemed effortless. Tiffany had even mocked Morwen's incompetence. She'd considered the Treasure Box's warning exaggerated, but it was Richard who'd silently eliminated obstacles, sacrificing himself so she could face the curse with ease.
Tiffany sobbed, heartbroken and self-reproachful, "Why didn't you tell me? I knew nothing"
