Chapter 645
After a long while, Zoe changed the subject. "Let's drop it. By the way, Tiffany, did you open the wedding gift I gave you?"
Tiffany considered this and shook her head. "No, I haven't opened it yet." She'd been so busy the past few days that she'd forgotten about it.
Zoe chuckled. "No rush. You can open it tonight."
Tiffany was curious. "Why tonight?"
Zoe smiled mischievously. "You'll know when you open it!"
Tiffany was suspicious, but she nodded. "Alright, I'll open it tonight."
That night, Tiffany found the gift box under a cabinet. A beautiful bow adorned the red wrapping paper. As she opened it, Richard entered the bedroom from the balcony, having just finished a call. He calmly asked, "What's this?"
"Oh, it's a gift from Zoe. She insisted I open it tonight. I don't know what's inside," Tiffany said, unwrapping the box. The contents were tightly wrapped in layers of paper. After tearing through several layers, she shook the gift onto the bed.
Thud. The contents fell out.
Tiffany was stunned. She looked at Richard, who had a playful smile on his handsome face.
Richard smiled. "Ah, it turns out you love this stuff, my love. That's wild."
The items were sex toys. Now it made sense why Zoe had instructed her to open the gift at night and wrap it so tightly.
Tiffany's eyes twitched as she gathered the items. But Richard was faster, scooping them up before she could react. He smiled, a half-smile on his handsome face. "It would be a pity to throw them away, darling. Zoe is thoughtful, and we mustn't disappoint her."
Tiffany shook her head vehemently. No, these things will kill me!
Before she could object, Richard leaned in. A kiss silenced her protest.
It was another passionate night. The next morning, Tiffany's voice was hoarse. Shame and anger burned on her face. She was too embarrassed to leave the bedroom. They had been loud the previous night; she worried the servants had heard.
Richard chuckled, coaxing her gently. "Can you get up? Shall I carry you?"
"No need!" Tiffany glared at him and got up.
Since the previous night's encounter, she'd hoped for her period to arrive, offering a few days' respite. However, it was late—a week late.
It's as ifas if my period is late! Am I pregnant? Tiffany was shocked. She checked her pulse, but her anxiety made it difficult to assess.
She tried to calm herself. Maybe it's just late. It might come in two days. I'll keep this from Richard for now.
Tiffany composed herself and went downstairs for breakfast. She had school that day, but she'd submitted an application to take exams early, potentially allowing her to skip the semester. After the exams, she had to visit the Azure Sea Royal Family.
After breakfast, Richard kissed Tiffany goodbye and left for the office.
Tiffany got into her car. At a red light, she saw Daisy being harassed by a man. Daisy tried to shake him off, but he persisted. Tiffany found the man vaguely familiar, but the red light turned green, and they were gone.
Suddenly, a news story flashed through Tiffany's mind: Molly's rape and subsequent suicide years ago, after the Kelley family's downfall. She recalled seeing a photo of one of the suspects—the man harassing Daisy!
Tiffany decided to call Molly. Molly was surprised to hear from her. Tiffany said softly, "Molly, I need to remind you of something. Remember what I told you at my door last time."
There was a pause, then Molly's laughter. "Don't worry, Tiffany. I know what I'm doing."
Tiffany worried, Molly said that, but I don't think she's taking it seriously.
