Listen to this chapter:

Tiffany thought, "Great." She stepped forward and strode toward the basketball hoop. With a nimble leap, she landed on top of it. Her jump was clean and impressive, causing the surrounding onlookers to gasp in awe. Tiffany quickly untied the rope securing Zoe, who was dazed and fell through the hoop. Tiffany jumped down and caught her.

Patting Zoe's face, Tiffany asked, "Are you okay?"

Zoe mumbled, "Hmmโ€ฆ Tiffany?" She opened her eyes, shook her head, beamed, and said, "I'm fine. I'm just slightly exhausted from being hung up. Besides, I knew you'd come and save me!"

Tiffany replied, "Yeah, here I am." She moved Zoe to a cooler spot and waved at Ged. "Help me take care of her," she instructed.

Ged responded without thinking, "Okay." But as he obediently started walking over, he reconsidered. He thought, "Wait. Why do I have to listen to Tiffany?" However, Tiffany didn't give him a chance to object. She walked toward a group of women sitting in the shade.

Approaching them, she said, "I have a soft spot. I'm protective, so no one should touch my friends."

Mia laughed. "Yo. You sound arrogant. Yes, I bullied your friend. But what can you do to me?" she sneered. "You refuse to do things the easy way. Give me the bracelet, and I'll consider leaving you and your friend alone."

Mia was two years Tiffany's senior. They hadn't met before because the school was large, and their usual haunts were on opposite ends. Mia was looking for trouble because Tiffany had refused to give her the bracelet the previous night. Angry, Mia had come to issue a warning. Mia was confident she could get whatever she wanted. Tiffany would suffer for defying her.

"You're very confident," Tiffany commented, warming up her wrists as she approached Mia. As the daughter of a real estate tycoon, Mia could have anything she wanted. The school facilities were even funded by the Lee family. Mia felt untouchable on campus.

"You can give it a try," Mia said confidently.

As they spoke, Tiffany walked up to Mia. The girls with Mia stepped forward and glared at Tiffany provocatively. They were all martial arts or Taekwondo practitioners with exceptional skills.

The confrontation excited the onlookers, though some voiced concerns. "One against ten? How is Tiffany supposed to fight against Mia and her group?" one person asked. Another mocked, "What is Tiffany thinking? It's a pity she has such a beautiful face. I wonder what will happen if she injures it." A Mia supporter added, "She deserves this. She could easily resolve this by admitting defeat. She's asking for it."

Only Zoe worried about Tiffany. She was about to intervene, urging Tiffany to avoid trouble, but Tiffany winked at her from afar. Zoe stopped, waiting anxiously.

While the crowd watched, the girls attacked Tiffany on Mia's command. They outnumbered her, but Tiffany sneered and met their assault head-on. The crowd expected a typical girl fight, but Tiffany's moves were swift, ruthless, precise, and incredibly fast. In minutes, all ten girls were knocked out.

Dust swirled in the wind. Tiffany stood alone, a striking figure under the sun. Everyone was stunned.

Someone exclaimed, "Wow! Tiffany's so cool!" Another mumbled, "How is she so good at fighting? No wonder some people call her a demon! No wonder even Ged was subdued by her!" A student added, "Crap. I feel like cheering for her now!"

Tiffany ignored the crowd, looking down at the shocked Mia. "Do you have any more helpers? If not, I'm going to teach you a lesson."

Mia was speechless. She'd thought bringing ten martial arts practitioners was overkill, but none could stand against Tiffany.

Mia screamed, "Stop! You!" She tried to back away, but Tiffany grabbed her collar.

Mia screamed, "Are you going to attack me? If I lose a single hair, my father won't let you off!"

Tiffany ignored the threat and slapped Mia. "I'm hitting you now. No one can stop me."

The situation reversed. Zoe, energized, patted Ged's shoulder. "Did you see that? That's Tiffany Kelley, ladies and gentlemen. Her actions speak louder than her words!"

Ged fell into deep thought. Tiffany is indeed cool! Why was I so dumb before? He was relieved it only cost him a striptease at Nocturne Arena; a physical lesson from Tiffany would have landed him in the hospital.

Tiffany stuffed Mia through the basketball hoop. Mia was larger than Zoe and got stuck.

Ged teased, "Mia, I think it's time for you to lose some weight."

Mia was humiliated. Tiffany then looked for watercolor paints, intending to paint Mia's face, but school staff arrived. They reprimanded the onlookers and then turned to Tiffany. "You violated school rules. I can expel you. Are you aware of that?"

Mia, stuck in the hoop, yelled, "Kick her out! She's a bitch! Let me go!"

Two staff members struggled to free Mia. As the staff member was about to reprimand Tiffany again, Zoe intervened. "These girls tied me up first and painted my face. If you punish Tiffany, punish me too!"

Mia sneered, "That's not up to you to decide."

Zoe retorted, "Why should Tiffany be punished alone? You started the troubleโ€”"

The staff member interrupted. "Tiffany and Mia, you're both suspended for a week. The rest of you, behave yourselves. Another incident means expulsion!"

Their punishment was considered fair, though Mia was incredulous. "Don't you know who I am? You're punishing me too?"
