Mia chased after a staff member, wanting to reveal her identity, but was ignored. She stomped her foot, glared at Tiffany, gritted her teeth, and hissed, "Just you wait!" Then, she left with her followers.
Zoe gently tugged Tiffany's sleeve, looking guilty. "Tiffany, I'm sorry for dragging you into this," she said.
Exams loomed, their results determining enrollment for the next semester. Tiffany faced a serious disadvantage if she didn't perform well due to her week-long suspension. However, this wasn't a problem for Tiffany.
She comforted Zoe, saying, "They're here to target me. I'm the one who got you involved. Don't blame yourself. This is actually a seven-day vacation for me! If you want to be in my class next semester, study hard and improve your scores."
Zoe nodded solemnly. "I know."
Tiffany said, "Alright. Hurry back to the dorm, shower, and change." Turning to Ged, she added, "Thank you, too," before leaving school.
Since Tiffany had traveled back in time, classes were easy. Her previous grades weren't bad, and she wasn't worried about the exams. She had more important things to do during her free week.
After leaving school, she took a cab to the suburbs. Half an hour later, she stood before a thatched cottage fragrant with herbs. This was the Miracle Healer's residence. James Quinn had brought her here almost daily. She'd cultivated her body here, becoming immune to poison and developing skills in disguise and treasure appraisal. However, the cottage was overgrown; clearly, it had been neglected for a long time.
Tiffany sighed. James had left two years ago, and no one had heard from him since.
She entered, tossed aside her school bag, and searched for cleaning tools. She worked diligently all morning, leaving the cottage sparkling. Grapevines grew in the courtyard, laden with ripe fruit. Tiffany picked and washed some, then sat in a rocking chair, enjoying the breeze while eating.
From the outside, the cottage appeared to be an ordinary, simple farmstead. However, its owner possessed another identity: a being surpassing even Sidney Pauley, the Asclepius.
The Pauley family of Lovell City was a noble family renowned for their medical skills. As the family's successor, Sidney's skills were unparalleled, yet he had weaknesses: limited knowledge of poisons and helplessness with disabled or vegetative patients.
Tiffany pondered whether reclaiming the Miracle Healer title would help her locate her long-lost master.
Suddenly, she heard movement outside. "Who's there?" she asked warily. The cottage's remote location meant only those seeking the Miracle Healer would visit, but he had disappeared two years ago, and rumors had faded.
The courtyard door opened, and a woman in her thirties entered. Professionally dressed in a white suit, with elegant shoulder-length black curly hair, she exuded charm and composure.
Tiffany gasped. "June!"
The woman was June Spencer, who had served James for many years. As a child, Tiffany had believed James and June were a couple, later realizing they were master and servant. James himself was enigmatic; Tiffany had never seen his true face, as he frequently changed his appearance.
Seeing June, Tiffany excitedly asked, "June, where's James? Is he here?" She looked behind June, disappointed when no one appeared. She realized she'd deeply hurt him, and his vow to not see her again seemed absolute.
June understood. "Your return shows regret. Before he left, James instructed me to assist you if you came back. I will pave the way for you. He said this was the last thing he could do for you."
Tiffany's throat tightened. "The last thing?" she asked. "Will I see James again?" She wanted to apologize personally. In her previous life, she'd ignored his advice, leading to a bad end: imprisonment for a worthless marriage, then kidnapping and death five years later before she could help her mute, mentally retarded brother. Reflecting on her past life, Tiffany felt naive and foolish.
June didn't directly answer. "A different path this time might lead you to him, or not. Who knows?" Lost in thought, Tiffany missed the significance of June's "this time."
A moment later, hope sparked in her eyes. "From today, we revive the Miracle Healer's title!"
June bowed respectfully. "Noted."
Within a day, news spread throughout Lovell City: the Miracle Healer, immune to poisons and elusive, had returned! Reactions varied: some sought to exploit him, others desperately hoped for healing.
Sidney Pauley, upon hearing the news, raced to the Royal Tower, entering the CEO's office unimpeded. The Royal Tower's receptionists knew Sidney was the only non-employee with such access. Now, a beautiful young woman was also granted this privilege – a fact causing much gossip among the employees. This woman had a clearly closer relationship with the CEO than Sidney.
Sidney burst into Richard's office, exclaiming, "Great news! The Miracle Healer's back! He'll likely see patients in the next two days!"
