Chapter 666
Jeffrey subconsciously shook his head.
“No, I don’t need it.”
It was an expenditure of millions of dollars—a reckless expense. He couldn't afford the consultation fee, even if he wanted to; he didn't believe in her anyway.
“What a joke. Let such a little girl examine me? I’m not a fool. What’s so special about Miracle Healer? Can Miracle Healer guarantee she won’t make mistakes?” Jeffrey thought disdainfully.
Unexpectedly, after his refusal, Tyson looked at him even more sympathetically and sighed. “Is Mr. Kelley’s relative doing so badly? You know you don’t have long to live, but still can’t bear to spend money to treat yourself?”
The others nodded in agreement. “It’s ungrateful. Miracle Healer is condescendingly treating you because she thinks highly of you, yet you’re still making excuses?”
“That’s right. This opportunity doesn’t come every day. Many people want it but can’t get it.”
Jeffrey was on the verge of collapse. He was about to start a project launch ceremony, but it had turned into a large-scale consultation session for these big shots. However, he braced himself and agreed, lest he be labeled a man who couldn't afford to spend money.
“Okay, then.” He sounded reluctant.
Tiffany smiled at Jeffrey. She didn't check his pulse or touch him. She only looked at his expression and slowly said, “Mr. Ruiz, you are in good health. It’s just that you’re not lucky enough. Therefore, the one who will take your life is calamity.”
Jeffrey laughed. “I don’t believe in such things.”
His words left everyone looking at each other in dismay. The other big shots believed in Tiffany’s medical skills; after all, Miracle Healer had saved countless people. However, what she said to Jeffrey seemed unrelated to her medical expertise.
What Miracle Healer means is Jeffrey’s early death is not an illness but an accident, the crowd thought.
No one noticed Tiffany’s hand move subtly before anyone could react. A rock suddenly fell from the sky, heading directly toward Jeffrey’s head.
The commotion caught Jeffrey’s attention as the workers beside him shouted, “Mr. Ruiz, be careful! A rock has fallen!”
In a flash, Jeffrey dodged. The rock missed his head, falling past his shoulder and landing on the ground.
“Ah!” Jeffrey screamed.
The rock, though not fatal, grazed his shoulder, causing a painful abrasion that made him break out in a cold sweat and scream in agony. “It hurts! It really hurts!”

The other big shots were dumbfounded, their mouths agape.
Fuck! It’s true! It’s real! the big shots thought.
Everyone believed Tiffany without a doubt.
Out of curiosity, Tyson asked, “Miss Wood, how can he resolve this calamity?”
Tiffany smiled without answering.
Jeffrey was in terrible pain. Looking at the huge rock by his feet, he felt a chill of fear. He had been so close to death.
Could it be that I’m destined to die as she said? Jeffrey thought.
He no longer cared about his dignity. Jeffrey pounced at Tiffany’s feet and anxiously asked, “Miss Wood, please tell me what I should do?”
“Easy,” said Tiffany, leaning over and whispering, “You will be fine if you find a way to transfer it. The person you choose must be a family member or relative.”
“How?”
“A life for a life.”
Tiffany’s words were soft but carried immense weight. Jeffrey’s entire body trembled; his eyes were filled with astonishment and fear. He wavered, but his mind focused on a suitable relative—the target who would die for him…
In a flash, he decided, but still worried. He asked, “That is all? Does it work? Are you sure you’re not tricking me?”
“Of course not. I vouch for it in the name of Miracle Healer.” Tiffany’s smile deepened, becoming more ambiguous. “I’ve told you the method. What you do is your own decision, Mr. Ruiz.”
Then she stood up and left, June following closely behind.
After Tiffany left, the other big shots asked Jeffrey, “What did Miss Wood say to you just now? Tell us quickly. We didn’t hear a word.”
“Nothing,” Jeffrey smiled. “She just wants me to do more charity work and accumulate virtues.”
How can I let a third person know about that? Otherwise, won’t I be a suspect when I take that step? Jeffrey thought.
In the car…
June, glancing through the rearview mirror, asked, “Miss Kelley, what did you say to him?”

“I told him to find someone to die for him,” Tiffany said, smiling mockingly. She knew Jeffrey, her uncle, too well: a coward, vain, and ambitious, his virtues far outweighed by his flaws. After considering Tiffany’s words, he thought of candidates. He wouldn't choose his family, so Thalia was the only option.
June was stunned. “It’s a serious crime of murder. Would Jeffrey dare to do it?” Even if the calamity were real, anyone with a conscience wouldn't do such a thing. How can he lay his hands on his kin? June thought.
Tiffany’s eyes darkened. “He dares. Of course, he dares.” Jeffrey likely had other thoughts. He wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice others or himself for the slightest advantage.
“Send more men to follow him 24 hours a day,” Tiffany instructed. “Also, assign more people to follow my parents and brother. Tell me immediately if there’s anything.” She wouldn't risk her family unless she wanted Thalia to witness Jeffrey's true nature; besides, she could control the danger.
June nodded. “Don’t worry, Miss Kelley. I will arrange everything.”
Tiffany nodded.
Twenty minutes later, the car had driven from the suburbs into the bustling downtown of Lincheng City. Passing Royal Tower, Tiffany shouted, “Stop the car. I’ll get off here.”
“Okay,” said June, pulling over. Seeing Tiffany about to leave, she asked, “Miss Kelley, you haven’t washed off the disguise on your face.”
Tiffany then remembered the tight-fitting dress and Miracle Healer's disguise. Will Richard recognize me? He probably can. There's nothing to hide then, she thought.
Tiffany got out of the car and walked to Royal Tower. The receptionist stopped her. “Hello, who are you looking for? Do you have an appointment?”
