Chapter 674

The company group chat exploded the moment the message arrived. People, loving gossip, saw the rumors as hinting at something extraordinary. The receptionist, proud of her frontline position, basked in her temporary fame. This satisfaction was short-lived; minutes later, she received her termination notice.

The HR manager said, "Head to accounting to collect your pay. You're fired."

Stunned, the receptionist asked, "Why am I being fired?"

The HR manager replied, "You're unfit for this position. As a receptionist, you repeatedly disregarded company policies. We gave you chances to improve, but you failed. If you're unhappy, reflect on your actions."

Seething with frustration, the receptionist collected her final paycheck. Leaving Royal Tower, she spitefully leaked the day's events online, no longer caring about damaging the company's image. She wasn't an employee anymore.

With previous rumors still circulating, this new wave, involving a similarly dressed individual, quickly trended again. Criticism of Tiffany intensified.

[She hasn't been Mrs. Hampton long, and already faces scandals.] [Why do I feel sorry for her? And no, I'm not jealous.] [How many women secretly hope Mr. Hampton kicks Tiffany out?]

The last comment garnered over 30,000 likes, with many agreeing in the replies.

The Royal Tower's official account intervened, issuing a public clarification. They revealed the former receptionist had fabricated the story out of spite and warned against spreading misinformation. This statement finally quashed the scandal.

While Daisy's attempt to cause trouble fizzled, the earlier incident involving the Miracle Healer, supported by clear evidence, remained fresh in everyone's minds.

Tiffany skimmed countless comments and smiled. Many wanted her to fail, but she wouldn't give them satisfaction. On her Miracle Healer Twitter account, she posted her first tweet: "[I am Tiffany Kelley.]"

The platform exploded within minutes. If the woman seen with Richard at Royal Tower was Tiffany, there was no scandal. People were shocked. A few quick thinkers dominated early comments:

[What the hell?] [Is this real? Was the Miracle Healer's account hacked? Is Tiffany really the Miracle Healer… I can't process this!] [I'm stunned!] [So, this was some kind of playful couple's roleplay?!]

The discussion intensified, with some seeking confirmation from June. June's authority within Medicinal Haven was unquestioned; she managed many operations, serving as the organization's public face and internal steward. When asked for verification, she laughed lightly and calmly told the camera, "Yes, my employer, the Miracle Healer, is Tiffany Kelley."

Everyone was shocked by this confirmation. Those celebrating Tiffany's supposed downfall had their joy abruptly extinguished.

But most surprised were Tiffany's parents, Charlie and Thalia. Their daughter possessed incredible talents, yet they were completely unaware.

Thalia stood silently, recalling Tiffany treating her illness with pills supposedly from the Miracle Healer. Now it was clear Tiffany had painstakingly crafted the remedy.

"This silly child…" Thalia sighed, her gaze a mixture of pride and tenderness. Her daughter had grown and become independent, filling her with pride, but also leaving her melancholy because of the secrets. Thalia chose not to question these secrets.

Yesterday, when Jeffrey pushed Thalia off the cliff, she felt she had fallen, yet was instantly back on solid ground. She was puzzled but didn't question it.

Thalia exhaled deeply. Charlie put an arm around her. "What's on your mind?"

"Nothing," Thalia replied, smiling gently. "Just feeling sentimental." She worried about her daughter growing up too fast, yet feared she might not grow up enough. She mused on the contradictory nature of people.

Charlie chuckled. "You overthink everything. I'll take you out for a relaxing day tomorrow. You deserve a break after what happened."

"Alright." Thalia nodded. Her phone rang. "Hello?"

The caller said, "Mrs. Kelley, we have a situation! Jeffrey escaped during his prison transfer!"

"What?" Thalia's expression changed instantly.

Ending the call, she turned to Charlie, visibly worried. "Jeffrey escaped. I'm worried…" He undoubtedly held a grudge.

"What should we do? What if he comes after us?" Thalia's voice trembled. She wasn't afraid for herself, but terrified for Tiffany and Eric.

Charlie reassured her, "Don't worry. The police will capture him, and he can't stay on the run forever. We'll take precautions."

"Okay." Thalia nodded, though her unease lingered. The Kelley family doubled their security. Eric had an additional escort to and from school, and bodyguards were always nearby.

On the city streets, Jeffrey, disguised in a baseball cap, walked slowly. He saw a police bounty notice featuring his face on an electronic billboard. He smirked, then quickly walked away. The next news clip showed June's interview.

She calmly said, "Yes, my employer, the Miracle Healer, is Tiffany Kelley."

'Tiffany?' Jeffrey froze, tense. He realized the Miracle Healer who had warned him was Tiffany. It sounded absurd, but it was true.

Jeffrey's expression darkened. He remained rooted until the next segment. He clenched his fists, his eyes filled with hatred. Everything he faced was part of Tiffany's plan. She had dug the pit and watched him jump. It was no wonder she had saved Thalia from falling.
