Chapter 682
Tiffany couldn't understand. Was Felix using Kenneth's body to get close to someone? She knew Felix was trouble and should have killed him during his nightmare; she regretted missing her chance.
Noticing Tiffany's expression, Kenneth asked, "What exactly is that experiment chamber?"
"You probably won't believe me," Tiffany replied, recounting Lorenzo's kidnapping and Melody's body-snatching plan. Kenneth was shocked. He wouldn't have believed it from anyone else. The existence of a soul-switching device, and Felix's control over him, meant Felix wanted his body.
Kenneth's face darkened. He guessed Felix's intentions. He glanced at Tiffany, who was calmly speaking on the phone: "Yes, it's outside the city. June, drive slowly."
After hanging up, Tiffany met Kenneth's hesitant gaze. "What's wrong?" she asked.
"Nothing" he mumbled, quickly covering it up.
Tiffany sensed he was hiding something. "If there's something, you must tell me," she said, trusting her partner but not pressing. If she hadn't been there, Kenneth would have been captured.
Kenneth looked at her, then smiled slightly. "Alright, I will." He would protect himself and her, though he didn't say so aloud. His feelings for Tiffany were beyond friendship, but Richard's reality check had made him cautious. Being her friend was enough.
Thinking of Felix, Kenneth clenched his fist, murderous intent surging within him.
Soon, June arrived. Tiffany urged Kenneth toward the car, but he remained, smiling casually. "You go ahead. I've asked Odin to pick me up."
"Alright, but go to the hospital for your wound and that tracking bracelet," Tiffany replied.
"Okay," Kenneth agreed.

Tiffany nodded, got in the car, and left. After she departed, another group of cars arrived. Odin and others removed Kenneth's tracking bracelet. He got in a car. "Let's go," he instructed.
"Yes," Odin replied, and the convoy sped toward Felix's villa. This time, Kenneth was prepared for a confrontation, vowing to destroy Felix.
In the car, Tiffany yawned. She'd been sleepy for two days. June, driving, cautiously asked, "How did you and Kenneth meet?"
"By chance," Tiffany replied wearily, leaning against her seat. She was exhausted from helping Kenneth escape. The passing scenery blurred as her eyelids grew heavy.
The car stopped at Royal Bay. Finding John and the others absent, she knew they were still searching. A servant approached. "Mrs. Hampton, you look unwell. I made soup. Would you like some?"
"Alright," Tiffany agreed.
The fragrant mushroom soup was brought. But Tiffany felt queasy and rushed to the restroom. The servant, worried, suggested, "Could Mrs. Hampton be pregnant?"
Tiffany emerged after a while, apologizing to Elsa, the cook. Elsa, however, repeated her suggestion about pregnancy and offered to call Mr. Pauley.
Tiffany was stunned. 'Pregnant? Impossible!' Yet, considering her recent sleepiness and poor appetite, the idea seemed plausible. A wave of pleasant surprise washed over her.

The timing wasn't ideal. "Elsa, don't mention this to anyone," Tiffany ordered. It was just a guess, and with Richard missing, discretion was crucial.
"Understood," Elsa agreed, silencing the other servants.
Back in her room, Tiffany showered and lay on her bed. The Treasure Box clues were unhelpful. She hadn't found Richard, but had saved Kenneth again. Her brows furrowed. Her phone rang.
She answered, expecting news from John, but saw it was Jeremy. 'Something happened to Grandpa?' she worried.
"Hello?"
Jeremy's frantic voice filled the line. "Miss Kelley, something's happened. I think I saw Mr. Hampton."
A private jet departed from Royal Bay. Tiffany replayed Jeremy's words. The news of Richard's disappearance hadn't spread widely, but Jeremy, despite his distance, had heard something. He had discreetly learned about Richard's disappearance from June, and had spotted him. While it was only a profile, Jeremy recognized him. June accompanied Tiffany, offering comfort. "Finding Mr. Hampton means he's safe. Don't worry."
