Chapter 117

Amelia had a dream. In the dream, the Amber Vase became big and trapped her inside. Many people gathered around it and discussed it in admiration. No one noticed she was inside.

Amelia shouted and wanted them to save her, but they couldn’t hear her at all. In the end, she was exhausted, hungry, and thirsty. She collapsed in the vase and was overwhelmed by the fear of death.

In fear, Amelia thought of Landon and murmured, “Landon, save me. Save me…”

“Honey, wake up.” Landon heard Amelia’s murmur and patted her face.

Amelia opened her eyes with great difficulty and met Landon’s anxious eyes. The fear in the dream haunted her, and she kept murmuring, “Landon, save me. Save me, I don’t want to die.”

“Silly girl. You’re having your period. You won’t die,” Landon comforted Amelia. Seeing her fragile look, he felt very distressed for her.

Landon had been up for a while. Seeing that Amelia hadn’t woken up yet, he came to check and found blood on the bed. Amelia looked pale and covered in sweat. No matter how Landon called her, she couldn’t be woken up.

Landon was startled, fearing that Amelia was severely injured. He hurriedly called Wesley and soon knew that Amelia had her period.

“Don’t put me trapped in the vase. I want to go out,” Amelia sobbed, unable to regain clarity.

Landon was puzzled. “In the vase? You were lying on the bed.”

“Really?” Amelia woke up. Looking around, she saw the familiar room, furnishings, and Landon.

“Did you have a nightmare?” Landon gently wiped the sweat off her forehead with a towel. His gentle and warm touch made Amelia finally wake up.

Amelia nodded. “Yeah, I had a dream.”

“What did you dream about?” Landon asked curiously. He couldn’t help thinking, ‘What kind of dream could scare her like this?’

Amelia said, “In my dream, the Amber Vase turned into a huge cage and trapped me inside. People outside couldn’t see me or hear my cries for help.”

“Silly girl.” Landon was amused, shaking his head with a smile.

Amelia thought about it and found she was so stupid that she was scared by a dream.

“Take some time out before you get up to have breakfast. You have mild anemia, and you need more nutrition during your period,” Landon said.

“How do you know I have anemia?” Amelia asked in surprise. Only the Edwards family knew about this, and she had never mentioned it before.

“Wesley checked your medical records, and you registered this when you were forced to have surgery,” Landon replied.

Amelia looked at him in confusion, not understanding why he suddenly checked this.

“I thought you were bleeding because you were injured.” Landon’s handsome face turned flushed in embarrassment. He was scared when he saw the blood on the sheets.

Amelia paused for a moment and then felt a deep warmth surge in her chest. She thought, ‘I’m on my period, but Landon didn’t know it and even asked a doctor to check my records. He must have been embarrassed when he found out why I was bleeding.’

“Can you get up by yourself? Do you need me to ask my mother to take care of you?” Landon asked.

“No, I can do it myself.” Amelia got up, only to see a lot of blood on the sheets. She was scared. “It’s too much.”

“Isn’t it like this usually?” Landon frowned. He thought of what Wesley had said, “It’s normal if the menstrual flow is always large, or a check-up should be done.”

“It wasn’t like this before.” Amelia got out of bed and felt dizzy, and she almost fell. Landon quickly supported her.

“I’m fine. I’m just a little hungry,” Amelia smiled, patted Landon’s hand away, and went to the bathroom.

Landon stared at the bathroom door worriedly, afraid that she would faint in there.

When Amelia came out, Landon had already made an appointment with the doctor. “Have breakfast first, and then go to the hospital.”

“You want a check-up?” Amelia became nervous. “Are you feeling unwell, or do you have any feeling in your legs?”

“No, it’s you.” Landon stuffed a piece of chocolate into Amelia’s mouth and pinched her cheek. Usually, her cheeks were rosy, but today, she looked unusually pale, making him feel so pitiful.

“I’m not sick. I don’t need a check-up,” Amelia smiled and pushed his hand away. “It’s normal for a woman.”

“Wesley said that if the menstrual flow is large, you should see a doctor. Besides, you have anemia,” Landon said stubbornly.

“It’s normal to have a large amount occasionally in a month.” Amelia didn’t know how to explain it to Landon. His concern touched her, but there was really no need to go to the hospital. It was too embarrassing.

Landon frowned, “But you look pale.”

“This is because I haven’t been sleeping well recently, and I have had annoying dreams almost every night. They are all related to the vase. I think I’m possessed,” Amelia sighed.

She had been in good condition since her rebirth, except that she had occasionally dreamed about her previous life experiences. But recently, she had dreamed of the vase every night. Last night’s dream was particularly terrifying, and she still felt frightened.

“I heard that some antiques are burial objects, which are not good for people’s health. Should we ask someone for an explanation?” Landon asked.

Amelia burst out laughing, “You are overthinking it; I’m just afraid that Daniel will really take the Amber Vase away.”

“Are you sure?” Landon was still worried, and his frown deepened.

“I’m sure. Marlon said the vase can bring luck and fortune.” Amelia looked at Landon’s frown and couldn’t help but reach out to rub it.

Her hand was colder than usual, and her touch brought Landon a touch of coolness. Landon’s anxiety was also soothed.

“Don’t frown so much, or you will have wrinkles.” Amelia withdrew her hand and blinked. Suddenly, she felt that her physical contact with Landon was so natural, just like they were an old married couple. When Amelia had been in love with Zachary, she had never acted so naturally.

Amelia thought, ‘Is it because I stay with Landon every day, and we are too familiar with each other? Yes, that’s definitely the case.'

“Let’s have breakfast first. If you feel unwell, just let me know.” Landon took Amelia’s hand, wanting to warm it.

After breakfast, Amelia found that the menstrual flow had become heavier. Not long after arriving at the company, she realized that it was abnormal. She put down the documents, walked out of the office, and asked Lucas, “Where is Mr. Kingsley?”

“Mr. Kingsley is meeting an important partner. It may take another half an hour,” Lucas replied.

Amelia said, “I’m going to the hospital. Brooke will be with me, and I will go home after the check-up. Please tell Mr. Kingsley this later.”

Lucas nodded. “Okay.”

Amelia went to the hospital with Brooke. She didn’t expect that she would learn something serious.
