“She’s so lucky,” Theresa sighed, shaking her head. Turning to Sally, she asked, “Do you think Sally would deliberately reveal her relationship with the Bennett family?”

Sally looked up at Theresa, confused. Theresa, worried, said, “You’re so pure. Be careful with your sister. I don’t think she’s a kind person.”

Sally, though outwardly a knowledgeable and well-regarded lady, rarely judged others or expressed jealousy. She was usually quiet and elegant, yet secretly the backbone of her social circle, often making key decisions behind the scenes. She spoke infrequently, but her words were always well-chosen and impactful, ensuring she got along with almost everyone.

Theresa, still concerned, said, “I think you should marry soon; otherwise, Lauren will definitely bully you in the Bennett family.” Dana nodded in agreement. They both felt Sally was too kind.

Lisa disagreed, putting down her phone. “You underestimate Sally. She won’t initiate harm, but she won’t let people bully her either. Don’t worry; I think she’s smarter than Lauren. Lauren just returned to the Bennett family and can’t do much to harm Sally.”

Theresa nodded. “I agree, but I’m still worried. Sally is so soft-hearted; I’m afraid she won’t fight back if Lauren bullies her. Lauren is barbaric and indecent.”

“Let’s not dwell on that,” Theresa said, turning to Sally. “I think Lauren will definitely tell the Bennett family about her relationship with Herman. Then the Bennett family might pressure Herman to marry her.”

Dana agreed, noting Lauren’s sophistication.

Theresa continued, “Her admission to a top university and social climbing prove she’s not a fool. She knows how to benefit herself. Although she’s a Bennett, she’s only recently returned after an eighteen-year absence. She probably lacks a deep connection with the family and will use their power to pursue Herman.”

Theresa believed Lauren was scheming and ambitious.

Sally disagreed; she didn't think Lauren was Herman's mistress, but acknowledged Herman's desirability.

“How about a bet?” Theresa asked Dana.

Dana asked, “About what?”

“I bet that after Lauren arrives today, she’ll immediately tell the Bennett family about her relationship with Herman,” Theresa said confidently.
