Chapter 57

Theresa thought, "Lauren is even driving Herman's car. She must want to tell the Bennett family about her relationship with Herman."

Dana sneered. "I think you're overhearing things. I don't think Herman would like her. Maybe she isn't Herman's mistress." After saying that, Dana looked ahead and drove.

The other three girls exchanged glances, disbelievingly. Finally, Theresa asked Dana, "Do you like Herman?"

Dana immediately admitted, "Yes, I like him. We're both single, so there's nothing wrong with that."

"But" Theresa said incredulously, "he has a mistress."

Dana sneered. "Men are like that. I can pretend to know nothing about it."

"You're right," Theresa leaned back. "My father has a young mistress, too. Men are like that."

Lisa glanced at Dana and said, "However, Lauren is different. She's not an ordinary person; she's the eldest lady of the Bennett family."

"Lauren?" Dana looked disdainful. "She's no match for me." Dana didn't say this out of spite; it was simply the truth for her. After all, Dana came from a wealthy family, unlike Lauren, who had been missing for eight years. The other three girls agreed.

They had never seen Lauren wearing any luxury brands. They didn't think Lauren was suitable to be Herman's wife. The women from wealthy families had been trained in proper etiquette since childhood, unlike Lauren.

"Since Dana likes Herman, let's not go out today," Theresa said. "Let's go to the Bennett family home. We have to stop Lauren from telling the Bennett family about her relationship with Herman."

Dana said, "I don't care." She never considered Lauren a rival and didn't believe Herman would choose Lauren.

"I agree with Theresa," Lisa said.

Sally looked at Lisa in surprise, as Lisa rarely participated in their schemes.

Lisa smiled. "Since we can resolve this peacefully, why not seize the opportunity? We shouldn't underestimate the enemy; we should take the initiative."

"That's it!" Theresa applauded. "Let's go to the Bennetts'," she said to Dana.

They had to hurry and arrive before Lauren.
