"Go now!" Cameron's face contorted as he grabbed a pillow and hurled it at Fabian.
"Ron!" Fabian dodged the pillow, his voice trembling. It wasn't the pillow he feared; Cameron, still weak from his recent awakening, had barely grazed him. However, Cameron's usual majestic demeanor instilled a deep-seated terror in Fabian. Having already scolded Anastasia before Cameron awoke, Fabian now felt a wave of guilt wash over him.
"You idiot! I was gone for a few days, and you're already strutting around like you own the place. Do you think I'd let you get away with this charade? I know about your shady dealings, so get out! And don't ever show your face again!" Cameron roared, heedless of the onlookers.
Fabian, acutely aware of his precarious position, stifled his anger. He was deeply dissatisfied; accustomed to Cameron's weakened state, Fabian was distraught by his return to full strength. He mumbled, "Ron, you don't know what happened while you were unconscious. Everything I did was for your good. Don't let peopleโ"
"Get out!" Cameron's eyes blazed. "Get out if you want to keep the project!"
Fabian fell silent, his bravado crumbling. He turned, his men retreating in his wake. After a few steps, he paused, turning back reluctantly. "I guess I'll leave, Ron. Rest well. I'll see you in a few days."
Cameron remained impassive. Seeing his dismissal, Fabian shot Alexander a sharp look before departing with clenched teeth. Only after the sound of Fabian's retreating footsteps did Cameron relax, letting out a light cough.
"Dad..." Anastasia patted his back anxiously. The confrontation had clearly taken its toll; he looked exhausted.
Waving her off, Cameron accepted water from Alexander. "Did a lot happen while I was unconscious?"
Alexander looked at him thoughtfully. "You weren't fully unconscious, were you?"
Cameron chuckled wryly.
Anastasia, confused, looked from her father to Alexander.
"Tasia, tell the kitchen to prepare something for me. I'm hungry," Cameron said softly, attempting to deflect her concern.
She nodded obediently. "I'll have them make you some porridge." With a nod to Alexander, she exited, closing the door behind her.
