"Don't worry about that," Edward interrupted. "All you need to do is take good care of her and ensure her safety."

"The organization is dangerous; they possess firearms and likely heavier weaponry. However, being in Hyderland, their members are unlikely to use them unless they intend a full-scale war. That seems improbable for now."

The doctor sighed in relief. "Okay, I can do that."

"Do you know where they are?" Edward asked.

The doctor shook his head. "Whenever they collect me, they blindfold and sedate me with ether. I only regain consciousness at their location. They're extremely cautious. They even blindfolded me when I saw their boss. Therefore, I don't know the building's layout."

"Their boss?" Edward hesitated. "You met their boss?"

"I think so," the doctor replied uncertainly, then added, "Oh, yes, they're all foreigners."

"I see. Just follow our instructions, and don't worry about anything else. We'll take care of your family."

Edward was about to leave when a voice crackled through his earpiece: "Wait a minute."

Edward stopped and looked back at the doctor, who stared back with a puzzled expression. "Is there something else?" the doctor asked.

Alexander's voice came through the earpiece: "Edward, check your phone and ask him to identify this man."

Edward's phone buzzed, displaying a photograph of a man with a faint, unfriendly smile. Noticing the doctor watching him, Edward showed him the picture. "Is this the person you met?"

The doctor stepped forward, then recoiled as he studied the photo, a look of fear crossing his face. "That's him!"

Surprised, Edward turned and spoke into his earpiece. Alexander sighed. "All right, come back now."

"Yes, sir," Edward replied, then turned to the doctor. "About tonightโ€ฆ"

"Don't worry! I promise I won't tell anyone," the doctor quickly interjected, making a swearing gesture.

Edward gave him a hard look, knowing the doctor wouldn't dare break his promise. He knew the consequences would be dire.

Edward turned, pulled his mask into place, and vanished into the night.

The doctor stood dazed, looking around his empty house. 'It used to be lively,' he thought, 'but now it's just me.' He weakly slumped onto the couch and sighed heavily.
