"I know how you feel, but we can only trust Lily now," Cameron sighed. "Oh, yes, I forgot to mention something. Rhea's also at the embassy."

Alexander, only slightly surprised, replied, "So she knows who's behind the organization."

Cameron nodded. "What about your side? Did you find any evidence?"

Alexander hesitated. "Yes, but... I feel he has his reasons." He shook his head, conflicted. Betrayal warred with empathy.

Cameron gave him a deep look. "That's unlike you."

Alexander knew he was right. He'd been tough in the past, but his experiences had changed his perspective. His recent worries about the twins and Lily made him understand the man's predicament. He could guess his motivations.

"Let me observe him for a while," Alexander said. "We all know Rhea was researching mind control techniques. I'm more inclined to believe he couldn't help it, just as you were before."

Cameron was speechless. The previous incident had been a significant setback, making him highly guarded. He'd even outmaneuvered her when she tried a similar tactic, deceiving her into believing he'd fallen into her trap.

"All right," Alexander said, "but remember, the law doesn't care about a perpetrator's motivations."

"I know," Alexander replied. "How long will Prince Ross remain in Hyderland?"

Cameron considered. "He announced three days, but that might change." Ross could easily adjust his schedule.

Alexander nodded. "Understood."

"Keep me updated," Cameron said, entering the waiting car.

Alexander waved goodbye, watching the car depart.

Fred, after fruitless hours monitoring the screens, considered locking Rhea and Lily together, hoping to elicit information from Rhea. It proved pointless; Rhea only argued with Lily, offering nothing of value. The women now sat apart, ignoring each other.

Observing them on the monitors, Fred spoke into the microphone, "Take Rhea back to her room."
