Chapter 2352

Waving his hand, Dominic said insightfully, "You're exhausted because you've tried to control everything, and that's made you restless. Think about it: you handle so much alone. How could you not feel restless?" Growing thirsty, he rose and poured himself a glass of water.

Deep in thought, Yasmin remained still. No one had ever dared to say that to her. A moment of clarity dawned. She murmured thoughtfully, "That means I can be saved?"

"As I said, you're not physically ill, so you don't need saving. It all depends on whether you're willing to let go," Dominic replied, sipping water and shaking his head. "This is bad."

Yasmin looked puzzled.

"Oh, I'm saying the water tastes terrible," Dominic smiled, gesturing at his glass.

"I'm sorry. I'll get someone to make you a cup of coffee," Yasmin offered, turning to summon a servant.

Dominic waved her off. "No, no. I don't drink coffee. I prefer tea."

"What difference does it make?"

"It's like comparing apples and oranges! Besides, that's tap water, while I usually drink spring water from the mountains. It's refreshing even without boiling. You simply don't know how to appreciate the finer things." Dominic laughed heartily.

His boredom lifted despite his thirst. He stretched lazily, and Yasmin felt a pang of envy. He was older, yet seemed much livelier and younger.

"You're in excellent shape. Being a miracle doctor, you must take excellent care of yourself," Yasmin said admiringly.

He pointed at himself. "You're talking about me?"

"Yes," Yasmin nodded.

Dominic chuckled. "I may look lively and young, but I have my share of health problems."

"Really? But you look healthy," Yasmin shook her head doubtfully. "You can treat yourself, can't you?"

"Haven't you heard that a physician who treats himself has a fool for a patient?" Dominic looked at her. "Even though I can treat myself, my diagnosis might be inaccurate. And even if I could treat myself, preventing illness entirely is impossible. As long as we eat, we're bound to get sick." He paused, his smile fading. "Also, I suffered greatly recently. I'm not as healthy as I used to be."
