Chapter 496

Lily was puzzled. "Ask me about what? Would you like me to go to your show?" she asked, half-jokingly, but she didn't know how to help Lisa. Lisa looked at her strangely and replied, "If you have time, of course! But it's something else."

"What is it?"

"I want you to help me make a perfume," Lisa leaned forward. "It's part of your profession!"

Lily looked at her in disbelief. "Are you kidding me? Your father is an authority on this, and you're asking me to help you make perfume?"

"I knew you'd say that, but it's not what you think. Although my father is a master perfumer, he doesn't understand what I want!" Lisa said, looking distressed.

Lily almost laughed. "Look at you! I'm telling you something serious! Why are you still laughing!" Although Lisa was stunning, her personality was simple, cute, and sometimes childlike.

"No, no!" Lily waved her hand, suppressing her smile. "I didn't mean to laugh. Go on. Why doesn't he understand you?"

"The perfumes he makes for me are all sweet and kid-friendly. I've grown up, but he doesn't understand! I could buy from big international brands, but we're in this business, too. Wearing one would be as embarrassing as wearing the same dress as someone else! I want one that's unique to me!"

Lisa clasped her hands, resting her chin on them. She looked up at Lily, full of hope. "Please help me!"

"Well, it sounds like the requirements are high." Lily teased. This wasn't unprecedented. Many international supermodels and superstars commissioned well-known perfumers to create signature scents. Wealthy women and daughters of aristocratic families did the same. Money wasn't the issue; they sought ways to subtly distinguish themselves. Previously, they flaunted cars, bags, clothes, and jewelryโ€”but that wasn't enough. Perfume had become a social ritual; everyone wore it, and people could identify even subtle brands. Eventually, name brands ceased to satisfy; uniqueness and personal taste were paramount.

This is why most sought internationally renowned perfumersโ€”never an unknown like Lily, who was still relatively new to the industry.

"Of course, the requirements are high! Otherwise, why would I ask you?" Lisa said bluntly. "I think you understand me! I want something mature and unrestrained!"

Lisa blinked. "I'm mature now, not a child."
