Chapter 675
Henry’s shout spurred Apollo and Creed to fight with greater speed and violence. Justin, completely surprised by their presence, fought back with everything he had. Hundreds of moves passed, but neither side gained a clear advantage.
Henry’s shouting momentarily distracted Justin. When he looked up, Apollo and Creed’s feet were already inches from him. He dodged frantically, but too late. His chest constricted, and he spat blood.
“Pfft…” He fell, wounded.
Relieved and less anxious, Henry sighed. “Don’t kill them! I want them alive!” he yelled.
He aimed to seize control of the Lodge family and reclaim what he felt was rightfully his. However, he also wanted to avoid excessive bloodshed. Killing members of the Lodge family would ultimately be detrimental to his goals. He only needed their obedience. "Justin, Lily, why are you so stubborn? Why won't you listen? When I lead the Lodge family, I won't cast you out. Seeing you hurt… it pains me!" He dragged a chair to the center, settling down to watch the fight.
Initially lacking confidence, Henry felt control solidify after Justin’s injury. He knew enlisting the Light-Shadow Killers had been the right move; his own thugs were useless.
He squinted at the sky. "It’s getting late. Agree to my leadership, promise obedience and respect, and I’ll call this off. What do you say?"
Despite his injury, Justin continued fighting. Henry’s cruel words elicited an immediate refusal. "In your dreams!"
“Tsk tsk, such disobedience. As an elder, I must teach you a lesson. The hard way!” Henry sighed, feigning sympathy while his determined expression belied his words.
Bing-bang!
A deafening boom, coupled with a concussive shock, stunned everyone. Even Justin and Creed’s fight paused. Apollo lay on the ground, a palm print seared onto his chest, his shirt ripped. Everyone stared, dumbfounded, at the woman emerging from the dust cloud.
Lily walked over calmly, casually massaging her wrist. "Impressive skills," she remarked.
Apollo groaned in pain. Justin and Henry were speechless.
Creed shrieked, a harsh, earsplitting cry that prompted Henry to cover his ears. The sound was almost unbearable.
Lily frowned. Creed lunged, his hand forming an eagle claw aimed at her throat. She blocked, then turned, but Creed’s fast reflexes allowed him to grab her wrist.
Lily effortlessly evaded his grasp. No one, including Apollo, saw how she injured him. He’d felt he had the upper hand, but her speed was blinding. By the time he could react, the blow landed.
