Chapter 738

"What do you mean? What's the theme? Who is it for? What are the scent and type requirements? When do you need it? What's the budget?" Lily's questions came rapid-fire.

Lisa, munching on fries, was stunned. She blinked. "Uh"

"You're not sure, but you came to me with a business proposal?" Lily laughed. "Besides, there are so many perfumers, many top-notch ones. Your father's one of them. Why come all the way here? Unless the burgers lured you in." Lily's teasing was only partly joking. Regardless of Lily's standing, Lisa's father was an industry leader, his research team highly advanced. Their company was already successful. Why would Lisa seek her out? Was it a deliberate attempt to give Lily a boost?

"Of course not!" Lisa feigned anger. "My father and his team are busy on a project. The women in our company loved the perfume you made for me, so I hoped you'd agree to this."

"I've written the theme and requirements on my phone. I'm sending them now—I'll forget otherwise." She pulled out her phone. "I made a deal with the company. Our costume jewelry is sourced from designated companies. That used to include perfume, but I convinced them it should have its own unique qualities. This catwalk show is annual. How can it stand out with just ordinary brand-name perfumes?"

Lily put a hand to her forehead, smiling helplessly. "Those brands you're in charge of are ordinary?" Lisa's flattery was evident in her emphasis on "ordinary."

"Aren't they?" Lisa closed her eyes, considering. "Most people can afford them, regardless of price. Isn't that ordinary? To be honest, I think my dad's perfumes are quite common."

"Thank you very much!" Lily felt genuinely flattered.

"I've sent it. Think about it," Lisa said after sending the message. Then, reconsidering, "No, think quickly! And you have to agree. I told myself I'd make this deal before I came!"

Checking the message, she saw the requirements were simple: four variants with different characteristics, all under the same theme—a series expressing the diverse characters and charms of women. There was plenty of time to prepare.

"The price is negotiable, and it'll definitely satisfy you," Lisa added. "But you should talk to my company about that."

"My project is already being approached by the company," Lily said.

"I don't care. I want you to do it! I'll only talk to you, no one else!" Lisa continued to eat. "I only trust you!"

That touched Lily deeply. She sighed. "Okay, I'll think about it."

After dropping Lisa off, Lily drove home. The price was attractive, and she hadn't worked on a themed series in a long time; she was interested. Lisa's visit further solidified her desire to start her own studio. It would free her from company involvement and make business discussions easier. Even without a complete plan, the idea was strong enough to act on immediately.
