Chapter 768
"The initial idea is that each [design/piece] has its own characteristics, but they are all related to the same theme. After all, they're all in the same collection, which gives them their individual traits." Lily asked again, "Then what is the theme of your show?"
"The clothing is CL's latest style, and the theme is 'spring,' with green as the color palette. That's it."
The two chatted, and Lily gradually developed some ideas. No longer clueless, she asked a few more questions.
Finally, she said, "One last question: Even if your father couldn't make time, I believe you must know many other perfumers, some better than I am. Why did you travel all this way to find me?"
Before Lisa could answer, Lily added, "Don't say anything else. If this is simply about the fragrance, I don't think I'm so special that you'd travel so far."
Lisa almost choked. She stuck out her tongue and smiled, "Well, looks like I can't hide anything from you! Honestly, I just got into a fight with my father. Almost everyone I know is connected to him. I didn't want to work with anyone associated with him. Actually"
After a pause, she lowered her head, ashamed, and said, "I lied to you."
Lisa hesitated. "Actually, the company wanted me to ask my father or a perfumer he recommended, but I refused. I didn't want to waste any effort trying to convince a company I couldn't convince, so"
Lily finally understood. "So you made your own decision and came to me. I wasn't assigned to this by anyone at your company, right?"
Lisa, feeling terrible about her lie, nodded apologetically.
"Still, I love your perfumes, Lily! You have to believe me! I grew up in this industry and have worked with my father for years. You're as good as the top perfumers I know. I'm serious!" She looked sincere and said softly, "Please help me with this. I don't want to go back to my father's protégés. I like your creativity and inspiration. Trust me. Your perfumes will conquer the world!"
This was a very ambitious compliment, but Lily agreed she felt the same way about perfume creation.
"So" A knock came at the door.
They looked at each other. Lisa said, "I'll get it!"
Already standing, she quickly opened the door. "Who are you looking for?" she asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"You" Noah hesitated. He hadn't expected to see a beautiful blonde with blue eyes—a very familiar face. After a moment, he asked, "Lisa?"
Lisa, surprised and without recognizing him, asked, "You know me?"
"You're Mr. Parker's daughter. Of course, I know you," he replied. He'd seen her at the Westwood competition and knew she and Lily were friends, but hadn't expected this encounter.
Hearing her father's name, however, Lisa's face darkened. She glared at him and asked, "What do you want?"
