Chapter 772

Since that day, Noah had remembered her name. His reasons were twofold: first, a competitive desire to surpass her; second, a strategic wish to recruit her talent for the Society. He envisioned future wins reflecting positively on the Society.

Little did he know this gentle-looking girl would prove so difficult. He couldn't even keep her in Kingsland. Furthermore, with Alexander Russell and the La Beaute Group supporting her, he realized he needed to exert considerably more effort to deal with her decisively.

"It happened only once, and you're already showing off?" Noah gritted his teeth, snapping at her, desperate to salvage his pride.

"I agree. There's nothing to be proud of in beating you," Lily conceded. "However, I offer you some advice. Don't be so narrow-minded as a perfumer. Instead of competing with someone like me—who doesn't even have a perfumer's license—why not aim higher? Far more talented perfumers exist worldwide, especially outside Hyderland. Is the Perfumers' Society's role to shield its members from superior competition?"

Noah was speechless. Before meeting her, his goal was global domination within the perfumery world. But her victory had unconsciously shifted his focus to competing solely with her.

"You have such a sharp tongue!" He snorted, the smile vanishing from his face. "Lily, your stubbornness will get you nowhere!" He glanced around, warning, "I won't let this go easily," before turning and stalking off.

"Leave! Get lost!" Lisa waved frantically, as if warding off an ill omen. "Lily, I'm amazed! Are you the same person? You were so empowering!" She sighed in wonder.

"If he hadn't been so rude, I wouldn't have cared," Lily replied. She wanted to focus on her work, but constantly faced obstruction and sabotage. Therefore, she would eliminate anyone who tried to hinder her.

"Since they don't appreciate you in Hyderland, come work with me at my father's company! He admires your skills," Lisa offered.

Lily shook her head. "I've never considered leaving Hyderland. It's not ideal, but I want to stay and create a classic perfume."

Lisa didn't fully understand Lily's passion for perfume, but she felt its intensity. "Lily, even if I don't understand, I'll support you! I believe you'll create the perfume you envision!" She hugged Lily, adding, "By the way, does this mean you'll help me?"

Lily hesitated; Lisa was pushing it, but she relented. Smiling, Lily said, "Fine, I'll do it."
