Chapter 789

"My next plan is to expand the market. We'll first launch the perfume domestically before expanding internationally." His plan sounded almost perfect; he had even identified the relevant industrial chains. However, the executives reviewed the report and frowned. They didn't look pleased.

Someone raised a hand and interrupted. "Excuse me," he said, "we only have one perfume. Although it received a good response, aren't we moving too fast? Other companies have already monopolized the domestic perfume market. Established brands from giants like La Beauté Group and others dominate. This is our first foray into this industry. Shouldn't we consolidate our position before expanding?"

The executives were from an older generation, and Damian's ambitious plan was overwhelming.

"Mr. Park, you're being too cautious," Damian said with a smile. "You need a fighting spirit in business. How can you break through the market if you're afraid? As you said, others have monopolized the market. How can we enter if we aren't brave enough? Besides, our goal isn't limited to the domestic market. We want to go international!"

Damian beamed, while several senior executives tossed the documents back on the table, lowered their heads, and pinched the bridge of their noses. While the plan seemed promising at first glance, they couldn't deny the young man's audacious vision. Despite his achievements, they cautioned against underestimating the domestic market; Damian's inexperience was a significant risk.

Joseph, sitting to the side, sensed the shift in atmosphere and intervened. "Mr. Damian is outlining a ten- to twenty-year plan—a long-term vision. We should proceed step-by-step, but this is an excellent start!" Joseph attempted to mediate. He couldn't afford to offend the senior executives, as Damian needed their support.

"That's right! Our first fragrance was an instant success—the best possible start. It represents…" However, before Damian could finish, a knock interrupted the meeting. The knocking persisted, growing more insistent.

Joseph snapped, "Who is it?!"

After a response, the door opened to reveal Damian's assistant.

"Mr. Damian—"

"Can't you see I'm in a meeting? Get out!" Damian scolded, his face falling.

"I'm sorry, sir, but this is urgent. Could you step out for a moment?" His assistant stood firm. He wouldn't have risked his job for a trivial matter.

"Whatever it is, we'll discuss it after the meeting. Leave!" Damian was embarrassed by his assistant's perceived lack of etiquette.

"It might be important. Mr. Damian, perhaps you should see what it is," Arianna, who had been sitting quietly, suggested.

Damian was speechless. He looked around the room, then at his anxious assistant. It seemed serious. He frowned. "Sorry, everyone, five-minute break." He followed his assistant out.

"What's so important you couldn't wait until after the meeting? You know how crucial today is!" he hissed, his voice tight with suppressed anger. He barely controlled his temper.
