Chapter 818

"Ari, are you sure we can trust this report? Could it be" Joseph pondered, then continued, "What I'm trying to say is, is it possible someone switched the perfume sample, or that only one batch is problematic? Think about it. Many people could have tampered with the perfumes between the factory and the lab"

Arianna sighed. "Dad! I already considered that. To prevent any issues, I took the perfumes to the lab myself. If you don't trust me and think I did something, then I have nothing to say."

Joseph wouldn't admit it, even if it were true.

"Ari, why would I suspect you? It's just that we're at a critical moment. Someone might be trying to sabotage us."

"I know something, but I'm not sure if I should tell you," Arianna hesitated.

"We're already in this situation. What is it? Come on!" Joseph said impatiently.

"To ensure it wasn't just the second batch, I also took the perfumes from home to the lab. I bought two bottlesโ€”one for Damian, one for Momโ€”and those are the ones I tested."

"Oh, right!" Joseph said, remembering. "Then what?"

"The two bottles have the same problem. The issue occurred during production, not due to sabotage. I didn't tell Mom. She's prone to allergic reactions and has strict requirements for skincare products. Luckily, she hasn't used it yet."

This meant Eloise could have also suffered an allergic reaction.

Joseph was stunned. This wasn't slander; it was a problem with the perfumes themselves. Naomi Schiffer wasn't the only one with an allergic reaction. Considering the number of perfumes sold, many other buyers could be affected.

Joseph shivered. "Hurry! Recall all products. Announce we need samples for testing, and we'll compensate customers. Get PR on this immediately!" He was in a cold sweat, knowing the consequences could be catastrophic.

His worst fear was about to materialize. As he instructed Arianna, the office phone rang.

"Hello?" He answered, already agitated. It was a frantic call from the after-sales service manager.

"Mr. Tanner! Many customers are reporting allergic reactions and want to press charges. It's on the news; reporters are here. What do we do?"

Stunned, Joseph felt breathless and close to fainting.
