Chapter 336

“You two are really together?” Quinn was shocked, and then her face turned red with anger. “Victoria, you move on so fast! How could you do this to my brother?” she snapped.

Tracy’s face went stiff, and she stood there silently. She could tell Nathan had real feelings for me, which made her disappointment even more obvious. She bit her lip.

I responded calmly, “I started dating after the divorce. I never cheated anyway.”

Tracy’s face went pale instantly. As if she had just figured something out, she tugged at Quinn’s arm. “Quinn, didn’t you say you wanted a drink? Let’s go chill at the bar.”

“Mr. Hallman, do you really like her? Do you even know what happened between her and my brother?” Quinn couldn’t hold back, trying to ruin my reputation in front of Nathan.

Nathan didn’t skip a beat. He smiled and said, “I know some of it, but not the whole story.”

“Doesn’t it bother you? She just got divorced and couldn’t stand being single. Was it really about love, or something else?” Quinn went all in, trying to stir trouble.

Nathan just smiled. “I’ve heard some things about Mr. Holcomb and Ms. Darwin. But as for Victoria and me, I’m the one who went after her.”

Quinn went pale, and Tracy stood there, crushed.

Clearly done with the conversation, Nathan turned to me and said gently, “Victoria, can you help me with my bags? Let’s head upstairs.”

“Sure,” I replied, picking up his laptop bag and wheeling his suitcase toward the elevator.

Quinn just stomped her foot in frustration, standing there fuming.

Once we were in the elevator, Nathan looked at me, a little frustrated. “Why was your phone off? I tried calling as soon as I got off the plane, but you didn’t answer. Good thing you told me you were staying at this hotel.”

I chuckled awkwardly. “I forgot to charge it.”

Nathan gave me a helpless look, so I grinned and asked, “Why did you come back early? Weren’t you supposed to stay a few more days?”

Nathan glanced down at Yvonne in his arms and asked, “How come your daughter is here? Did she come with Ms. Holcomb and Ms. Darwin?”

I shook my head. “No, Jared brought her over.”

Nathan blinked, a bit surprised. “Mr. Holcomb is here, too?”

I nodded and then casually changed the subject, asking, “By the way, did you book a room?”

Nathan’s cheeks turned a little red and croaked, “Actually, no. I came here just for you.”

Seeing the look on his face, I instantly knew what he was thinking. He probably flew all the way back to Sandanyo just for a date with me.

“Really?” I raised an eyebrow at him, giving him a playful smirk. “So you came all this way just for me?”

Nathan was already blushing, and I couldn’t resist teasing him. He shot me a playful look.

I was flustered, my heart racing. He really came all this way for me. Then I couldn’t let him down.

“Alright, you can stay in my room,” I said, smiling.

“What about Yvonne?” Nathan glanced down at her.

“Whoever brought her should take care of her,” I said, handing him the room key. Then I took Yvonne in my arms and got ready to pass her off to Jared.

Now that Quinn was here, Jared had no excuse to avoid babysitting. If he wanted to spend time with Tracy, he could just have Quinn put Yvonne to bed. That way, he wouldn’t have to miss out on anything.

Nathan stood in the elevator, watching as I carried Yvonne out. “I’ll wait for you in the room,” he said quietly.

“Alright, you can freshen up first.” I gave him a teasing look.

Nathan blushed deeper and nodded.

I carried Yvonne to Jared’s room and knocked. Yvonne had already told me the room number.

The door opened, and there was Jared, looking like he’d just gotten out of the shower, wearing nothing but a towel. His broad shoulders, trim waist, and long, muscular legs were on full display.

When he saw me, his eyes lit up for a second, but then he asked, “Yvonne’s asleep. Why don’t you just let her sleep in your room?”

I let out a cold laugh. “Bet you’re bummed it’s not Tracy, huh?”
