After Abigail finished washing up, she placed the blankets on the couch and snuggled in. A knock came at the door. She jerked upright, whispering urgently to Sean, who was in bed, "Did you lock the door?"
Sean narrowed his eyes and asked loudly, "What's the matter?"
"Mr. Sean, it's me," Dahlia said. "Old Mrs. Graham prepared some pudding and would like you to try some. I'll come in if you're still awake."
The knob turned and clicked open.
Abigail jumped from the couch and stuffed the blankets under the bed as Dahlia passed through the corridor into the bedroom. Then, she quickly got under Sean's blankets. The moment she did, she accidentally hit his chest, and they both grunted.

This noise sounded amorous, and Dahlia stopped abruptly, asking tentatively, "Mr. Sean and Ms. Abigail may I come in?"
Sean gritted his teeth, glancing at the head supposedly hidden under the blanket. An unreadable, dark look washed over his eyes.
"Come in," he said.
Abigail climbed out of the blankets and, after straightening her hair, greeted Dahlia with a smile. "Hi, Dahlia."
She was about to get out of bed when Dahlia hurriedly stopped her. "You don't have to. I'll bring it to you and take it away when you're finished."
Abigail stole a look at the blankets, which weren't completely hidden. Certain Dahlia would realize what was happening, she quickly pinched Sean hard under the blankets.
She wasn't sure where she'd pinched him, but it was hard and hurt her fingers. Sean's expressionless face winced for a second; blood rushed to his face. He hastily got up and extended his hands to Dahlia. "Pass it to me."
Dahlia passed him the pudding. "Okay, you can feed her, then."
Sean's hands tensed for a second; his lips smirked. He deftly placed the tray on the bedside table, picked up the bowl, scooped some pudding, and offered it to Abigail's lips.
Abigail was speechless and confused. She didn't know what Sean expected and looked him steadily in the eyes. He raised his eyebrows, shifting his gaze from her face to the spoon, hinting he wasn't going to put it away.
Though she wasn't pretentious and had loved him for three years, she found it awkward to be so affectionate in front of others, especially for the first time. She knew it was a pretense, but her heart fluttered. Her reason reminded her Sean belonged to Joan.

Unexpectedly, she thought for a second before saying, "I don't like to eat in bed."
Dahlia watched in dismay as the pudding didn't reach Abigail's mouth and hastily tried to smooth things over. "Oh, it's only this once. Don't fuss. Mr. Sean has never fed anyone before!"
Abigail breathed deeply and ate the pudding as she realized Dahlia wouldn't leave. As they sat facing the same direction, Sean occasionally touched her face while holding the spoon.
Her skin was smooth and soft, like satin, and her cherry-red lips, stained with the sugary liquid, gleamed like a ripe peach.
He gulped, holding the spoon in the air. "Is it delicious?"

Dahlia chirped, "Would you like to try, too?"
Abigail didn't want to share a spoon; it felt like an indirect kiss. She snatched the bowl and finished the pudding in a gulp, raising her eyebrows provocatively at Sean. "It's yummy. But you can't have any."
Amused, he chuckled. Dahlia looked at them once more before quietly taking away the tray and leaving.
Meanwhile, Lina waited at the door, barely able to restrain herself from eavesdropping. When Dahlia came out with an empty bowl, her eyes sparkled. "They finished it?"
"Yes, but Ms. Abigail was the only one who ate it," Dahlia answered softly.

"It's not a problem. As long as he's a man, he won't be able to resist her," Lina said. "This time, I'm sure I'll get a grandchild! Clean the bowl and leave no trace," she added, sounding satisfied.
