The next day, when Abigail woke up, Sean had already left.
"Oh, Abigail, you're awake," Ana lise said, entering the bedroom from the kitchen. She had risen from the couch to warm her granddaughter's breakfast.
"Where's Sean?" Abigail asked, running her fingers through her hair. His leather shoes were missing by the door.
"He went out for breakfast and left right after," Ana lise explained. "He asked me to remind you to eat when you woke up."
Ana lise brought in a hearty sandwich and a glass of warm milk. "How are things going with you two?" she asked expectantly.
Abigail was stunned. "Well, the sun must have risen in the west this morning," she muttered, finally snapping out of her surprise after Ana lise repeated the question. She bit into the sandwich. "Same old, same old."
"Look at how well Sean takes care of you," Ana lise said. "You've been married for three years. When are you two going to have a baby?"
Seeing Ana lise about to start urging her again, Abigail downed her milk, grabbed her sandwich, and rushed to the door.
"I'm going to be late for work, Grandma. I'll be home at noon to make you lunch. Take care!"
She grabbed her purse and left, despite Ana lise's quick call of protest.
Abigail took a deep breath before driving to her office. As she opened the studio door, Luna greeted her. "Just in time! I was about to call you; you weren't responding to my texts."
"What's the matter?" Abigail asked, putting away her bag and looking at the excited Luna.
"Take a look at Twitter," Luna said, waving her phone.
Puzzled, Abigail checked Twitter and found the official announcement from the Top Designer production team topping the trending list, labeled as "hottest news." It was a brief statement announcing Alana as a special guest, along with a program summary.
"Did you see it, Abigail? Our studio is trending!" Luna exclaimed, shaking Abigail's shoulders. They had worked long and hard for this success.
Abigail patted Luna's shoulder and checked the comments. They were mixed regarding the special guest:
- "This studio isn't international, is it? Never heard of them."
- "I bought a gown from L.Moon! Exquisite designs. Looking forward to the program!"
- "Alana's designs are one-of-a-kind. Let's see how great she is."
L.Moon, a high-end brand with a niche following, had a chance to reach a wider audience. Successful promotion could significantly boost their reputation.
After reading the Twitter comments, Luna said with sparkling eyes, "If we successfully raise L.Moon's profile, we'll be buried in new orders…"
Abigail smiled to herself, Looks like you're already imagining yourself buried in money.
"By the way, don't forget to log into Alana's Twitter account and respond to the announcement," Luna reminded her.
Abigail switched to Alana's account and began to respond, but noticed something—a familiar name, Joan, was listed second among the models.
"Did Kevin tell you Joan is one of the main models?" she asked Luna.
After a moment, Abigail showed Luna her screen. Kevin had only mentioned three main models would be listed. Abigail hadn't expected Joan to be one of them.
"Nope! He didn't mention it," Luna replied, her expression darkening. "What do they mean by this? Are they trying to disgust us on purpose?"
Abigail checked the comments again and found Joan's Twitter account. Her pinned tweet included photos of her with a man, enjoying an exquisite meal. From the angle, she was leaning against his shoulder, looking blissful. The man was easily identified as Sean Graham, president of Graham International. Joan's neck was slightly pink, adding to the speculation.
Abigail's face hardened. Joan's tweet had almost as many comments as the production team's announcement, praising her looks, figure, and talent. Two comments stood out:
- "Miss Gorgeous is already the future company president's wife, but still works so hard! Best of luck!"
- "Heard Sean Graham invested heavily in the program for her. This program is to promote her. Isn't it wonderful to be so loved?"
This revised version improves grammar, punctuation, and flow. I've also replaced the asterisks around potentially sensitive words with standard spelling.
