Chapter 95: I'm Not Wearing That

Abigail's cheeks burned, and her ears flushed, but she pretended to be fine. "If you don't like it, you can go naked," she said.

Sean caught her wrist and pulled her close. Surprised, Abigail fell into his embrace. In her panic, she touched her genitals. She blushed crimson and struggled to break free. "Wear something! It's broad daylight. What are you trying to do?"

"You remember my size well," Sean said, looking at her. He'd been in a bad mood, but finding his clothes at her house had improved it. She'd clearly made a place for him in her life.

Abigail, misinterpreting his comment, felt mortified. She glared at him angrily. "So, are you wearing it or not?"

"Touch it more," Sean said with a devilish grin. "It'll leave a deeper impression. Makes buying clothes for me easier."

It was the first time Abigail had seen him behave this way. A moment of stunned silence followed before she broke free, only then realizing she'd also removed the towel covering Sean. "You perv!" she exclaimed, throwing the towel at him.

Despite having seen him naked many times, the sight still sent her heart racing. Sean stood up, amused. "You call me a pervert when you're the one who took my only piece of clothing away? You're so unreasonable," he said.

"I wouldn't have done that if you hadn't pulled me! Just get dressed," Abigail retorted angrily.

Sean remained silent until Julie knocked on the door.

"If you're ready, come out. The delivery's here," Julie called.

"Sure thing," Sean replied immediately.

Julie smiled; she could hear his happiness. Sean got dressed, but instead of leaving, he checked himself out in the mirror. The clothes fit well, and the tie's color complemented the suit.

They left the room. Analise grinned at the dashing Sean. "You look handsome, Sean. I suggest you youngsters try more pastel colors. It would soften your look."

Sean preferred black suits; lighter suits were usually dark blue at most, making him appear cold and unapproachable. The blue tie, however, softened his stark appearance, and the smoke-grey suit made his skin look even more porcelain-like.

He smiled but said nothing. After lunch, he left. Abigail applied salve to Analise's ankle. She was about to return to the production team when Sean's grandmother, Cornelie, called, asking her to meet at a clinic. Abigail texted Sean before going.

Cornelie was pacing the entrance when Abigail arrived. She grabbed Abigail and pulled her inside. "I've been searching for a traditional medicine doctor. Finally found an excellent one here—he's famous."

Abigail felt a wave of depression. Over the past three years, she'd tried countless medications and treatments, but Sean remained uncooperative. What use was medicine if her husband wasn't involved?

She couldn't explain her infertility. While once eager for a child, she'd changed her mind, not wanting anything to tie her to Sean after the divorce.

Cornelie noticed Abigail's somber expression. "Look at you, all mournful. Of course, no kid's going to want you as a mother," she complained.

Abigail smiled tightly. "I'm just worried the treatment might not work. I don't want to let you down."

"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Let the doctor give you an acupuncture session. Maybe you have a blocked meridian," Cornelie said, leading her to an office and knocking.

A young voice said, "Come in."

Inside, Abigail saw the doctor, a young man in a coat. She wondered if Cornelie had been scammed. He looked gentle, however, and wore gold-rimmed glasses; he did appear professional.

Cornelie seated Abigail before him. "Dr. Palmer, this is my grandson's wife. She's tried numerous medications and treatments, but she still can't get pregnant."

A strange feeling washed over Abigail. Palmer? Joan's past had significantly impacted her love life, and the name made her uneasy.

Dr. Palmer nodded at Abigail. "Hello. I'll check your pulse."

Abigail distrusted him but, with Cornelie present, she nodded in agreement.
