Chapter 315: Why Are You Shameless?

After arriving home, Maggie rushed to the kitchen and cooked a bowl of egg noodles for Nathael. His requests were always simple. After cooking, she served them to him before showering. Nathael watched her go with amusement, then ate the noodles.

Later that night, Maggie lay in bed, idly flipping through a book, while Nathael worked at his desk. She was reviewing piano pieces, her eyelids drooping. Should I go to sleep? she thought.

Quietly, like a thief, she closed the book, placed it on the bedside table, and slipped under the covers. She turned her back to Nathael, pulling the covers over her head. That day's events still hurt; despite Nathael's restraint, the swelling was significant. Yet, she also felt unprecedented happiness, tinged with timidity.

Lost in thought, drowsiness overcame her. She deliberately pushed her agreements with Nathael to the back of her mind, trying not to let them affect her present.

Then, the room dimmed. A large hand encircled her waist, bringing warmth, and gentle kisses trailed down her neck and shoulders. Maggie instantly awoke, her drowsiness vanishing.

"Are you sleepy?" he asked.

"Yeah," Maggie responded, hoping he would wait.

Unfortunately, Nathael had other plans. In a deep voice, he said, "It's a good time to get some exercise and refresh ourselves."

Maggie playfully pinched his face, teasingly stretching his skin. "Why are you always so shameless?"

She spoke seriously, but Nathael took her hand, pressed it against her head, and rolled over, looming above her. Maggie sighed softly, "Be gentle, I'm afraid it'll hurt."

Nathael murmured, his cool lips meeting hers, then trailing down her chin, neck, collarbone, and further.

Outside, a sudden downpour began, the raindrops drumming a frenzied yet melodious symphony on the remaining leaves. Nathael's hand gently covered hers, causing her eyelashes to flutter. Her breath became erratic, blending with the storm's chaos. "Relax," he murmured, his fingers pausing.

Maggie shyly lowered her gaze, sensing his nearness, feeling nervous. When she looked up, she met his intense gazeโ€”dark, surging desire, like the boundless night over a turbulent sea.

Uneasy, her cheeks flushed, she wrapped her arm around his back, tightening her grip slightly. In the dim light, she saw the subtle moisture on his forehead, evidence of his pacing himself. He gently kissed her lips and murmured, "Nana."

In an instant, he claimed her. Maggie tensed, finding it difficult to bear. A soft sound escaped her lips: "Mmmโ€ฆ"

The scent of cedar and sweetness intertwined. The room's temperature rose, and their breathing mingled like a melody. Maggie trembled, feeling enveloped in warmth. Moist heat spread from her neck, filling her with a long-lost excitement, and she surrendered to the moment.
