Chapter 336: What Would They Gain?

"Shut up! If you keep babbling, I'll kick you out of the Camerons!" Ronald's anger flared. He could no longer tolerate Sierra's blatant foolishness.

He had once found his daughter's spoiled behavior charming. But now, burdened by Cameron Group's debts and family issues, his patience wore thin daily as he observed her willfulness. Maggie smirked.

The Camerons might appear poised and polished, but they weren't flawless. Their past lives had been too smooth, allowing them to easily play the roles of loving parents. But under the current pressure, Ronald's calm facade was cracking.

"Dad!" Sierra's eyes welled with tears, but Olivia quickly intervened, urging, "That's enough, Sierra."

Despite Olivia's efforts, Sierra insisted, "Dad, how much have you given Maggie this year? You'll regret it!"

"I don't need you to tell me what to do," Ronald retorted. "Maggie is like my own daughter; she's no different from you or Joseph. She's getting engaged to Mr. Harris, and I won't let her be disrespected!"

His polished words were as convincing as ever. In her past life, Maggie would have been moved, but now she felt indifferent, seeing them as a joke.

"Maggie, if you're okay with it, just sign here," Ronald said gently, turning to her.

Sierra stormed out, Olivia hurriedly following, but Ronald ignored them.

After a brief hesitation, Maggie quickly signed the papers. Now wealthy, she planned to create a will at the notary's office tomorrow. Even in death, the Camerons wouldn't receive a cent from her.

After she signed, Ronald smiled. "Maggie, it may not be much, but it's a token of my love. I hope you stay happy with Mr. Harris and bring him home often."

Maggie nodded. Nathael turned to Alex, asking, "Are the transfer agreements ready?"

"Yes, and the 150 million has been transferred to Ms. Adam's account," Alex replied.

Madam Cameron frowned. "Isn't the 150 million supposed to be for the Camerons as part of the engagement gift?" Influenced by tradition, she believed the bride price should belong to the family, not Maggie. If the money wasn't for the Camerons, why were they giving away so many assets and shares? What would they gain?

Ronald's expression darkened slightly, but he had clearly anticipated this. He waited for Maggie and Nathael's reaction.

Maggie appeared bewildered, turning to Nathael with confusion.

Nathael spoke in a deep voice, "The engagement gift should naturally go to Maggie, but since she and the Camerons are one, it's like giving it to them as well." His poised statement firmly countered Madam Cameron's objection.
