Chapter 372 Open Struggle, Hidden Schemes
Timmothy pondered momentarily before speaking up, โHelp you remove Ronaldโs arm?โ
Maggie remained silent.
Maggie couldnโt help but complain, โIs this what you call helping?โ
She really fell for his trick!
After discussing for a while, the group couldnโt come up with any conclusions. The decline of the Camerons was inevitable. It was just a matter of time.
Listening to Timmothyโs proposed ideas, Maggie became completely silent.
This person probably had some kind of rebellious personality. It seemed that those bloody scenes always inexplicably excited him.
โLetโs find Olivia an extramarital affair,โ Leo said calmly, proposing an inconsequential idea.
Timmothyโs eyes brightened slightly. โThatโs a good idea. Ronald might just be driven to death by this mother and son trio.โ
Maggie pondered for a moment. โIt would be even better if this person also had some abilities.โ
โI know a candidate. He used to be with Olivia, but she dumped him because of his familyโs poor condition. Now, heโs doing quite well for himself and seems to have some skills,โ Leo said calmly, clearly well-versed in the history of the Cameronsโ members.
โWhoโs he?โ
He handed it to Maggie.
Maggie glanced over the information briefly. Wilson didnโt have a particularly impressive background, but he had made a name for himself. Although he wasnโt from a prestigious family, he had managed to achieve considerable wealth and status.
The most important thing was that he was dumped by Olivia back then. Out of love turned into resentment, he later married, and although his wife passed away some years ago, their marriage seemed affectionate. He seemed like a suitable candidate.
โWe donโt know if Mr. Zamora would be willing. We canโt force him into anything. Shall we arrange a casual meeting instead?โ Maggie suggested.
Leo nodded. โLetโs find an opportunity for them to meet. That way, weโll know after giving it a try.โ
The group discussed lively topics, with the conversation drifting into increasingly absurd territory. Yet, the atmosphere was surprisingly lighthearted.
Not long after, the medicine was ready.
Maggie drank a pouch directly. The strong bitterness spread in her mouth, hitting her throat directly. The heavy texture, combined with the bitterness, almost made her vomit.
It wasnโt that she couldnโt bear it. It was purely a physiological reaction. After drinking a pouch, Maggie felt terrible. Tears welled up in her eyes, making her look pitiful.
Maggie felt like crying, and what made her even more despairing was the realisation that she would have to drink this stuff every day from now on, and not just once, but twice a day! Watching her hopeless expression, Timmothy smirked slightly. โYouโll get used to it.โ
Maggie looked at him, her gaze carrying a rare hint of sympathy.
The Hudsons were a renowned family of alternative medicine, so it was easy to imagine what he had relied on to maintain his health over the years.
Timmothy raised an eyebrow, a faint flush appearing on his pale face. โWhatโs with that look? Itโs as if youโve just eaten sh*t.โ
Maggie was speechless.
As the group left, Maggie still felt the lingering bitterness in her mouth, which also seemed to seep into her mood.
At this moment, Sierra arrived at the hotel lobby wearing a thick mask and a duckbill cap.
On the TV screen in the hotel lobby, a piano piece played by Maggie was still on display. Sierraโs gaze turned fierce.
Why did she feel like being treated like an outcast while Maggie was living so comfortably and enjoying so much praise?
The internet almost worships her, while I have lost all my dignity. Who knows how long it will take for this to blow over?
Not long after, a sneaky-looking man with a thug-like appearance walked over. โMs. Cameron?โ
The man had dyed his hair chestnut brown, but unfortunately, he didnโt have a pleasant appearance. His face was marked with numerous acne scars and pits, and his dark complexion made him look dirty.
โWhereโs the stuff?โ Sierra asked bluntly.
After taking it, Sierra handed him two stacks of cash. The man couldnโt help but whistle and scrutinise her. โWhy do you look a bit like that recently famous Sierra?โ
The manโs gaze made her feel extremely embarrassed. Sierraโs face turned cold. โGet lost!โ
The man whistled again, smirked creepily, then turned and walked away.
Sierra was furious, but she remained seated at the table, seething angrily.
Ronald had lost his mind, insisting on marrying her off. Now, the Zimmers objected, and he had found a local from the market whose conditions were even worse than the Zimmers.
She heard that the prospective groom they chose for her was a man in his fifties who had lost two wives under mysterious circumstances. His family wasnโt considered prestigious, but theyโve suddenly become wealthy.
There was not much depth to him, and his wealth might not last long, but he has money now. The man had seen her photos and videos and didnโt mind her previous scandals. He offered a price that Ronald could reluctantly agree to.
Of course, the price was significantly lower than what the Zimmers had offered, but he didnโt have much choice at this point.
The thought of Ronald wanting to marry her to someone like that made Sierraโs heart grow cold.
It took a lot of effort from her mother to help her escape from home.
But now that her grandfather had been implicated and his safety was being thoroughly investigated, she had nowhere to go and no one to turn to.
After waiting a while, a tall, muscular, mixed-race man approached the table and stopped. He exchanged a passphrase with Sierra before taking a seat.
The man had a somewhat fierce appearance and spoke only in a foreign language, but luckily, Sierra had studied abroad for a few years and could still manage to communicate in a foreign language.
โMs. Cameron, what do you need?โ
โI want her eyes gouged out, and I want her face disfigured! Of course, Iโve prepared some good stuff for her, too. Kindly make sure she consumes it.โ
Sierra handed the key to the man, along with a card. โThis is the remaining deposit. The other half will be paid once itโs done.โ
750 thousand, which was all Sierra could come up with at the moment, with some assistance from Olivia behind the scenes.
Olivia did have some money on hand, but she didnโt dare be too overt about it, fearing it might upset Ronald. Moreover, she had Joseph consider it as well.
The man took the photo of Maggie and nodded. โOkay.โ
As he stood up, Sierra couldnโt help but ask, โCan I be there when you do it?โ
The man pondered for a moment. โItโs possible, but itโll cost an extra 300 thousand. After all, we also need to ensure your safety.โ
Sierra gritted her teeth and agreed. โFine, Iโll pay you on the day.โ
After the deal was settled, the man got up and left. Sierraโs eyes sparkled.
Soon, very soon! Maggie would soon fall into the same situation as her. Oh no, she would be even worse off. Sierra wanted to see if Maggie would still be so proud then.
With that thought, Sierra revealed a sinister smile of satisfaction. From now on, she would make sure Maggie suffered every single day, make her wish for death, and make her never dare to be arrogant in front of her again!
If she was a rat stuck in the mud, then Maggie would be even lower than that!
