Let's Start All Over Again, Shall We?
Chapter 391: Are You Insane?
Nathael remained silent, his eyes brimming with pain. Maggie couldn't bear to meet his gaze, gently pulling away her hand. "Take care," she said softly. "Take good care of yourself."
She wanted to say more, but the words wouldn't come. It felt insincere.
Avoiding his eyes, she turned to leave.
After a few steps, Nathael grabbed her wrist. His voice was rough. "Are we over?"
A tightness seized Maggie's throat. "Yeah," she replied softly.
Nathael chuckled, a hint of self-mockery in his tone. "I don't agree."
Maggie lowered her gaze. "Nathael, we're both adults. Being together requires mutual agreement, but breaking up only takes one person."
Nathael scoffed, turned, and lifted her. His expression turned icy, his eyes dark and forbidding, radiating a chilling aura.
"Nathael, put me down!"
Suddenly, Maggie was upside down, her face flushing crimson as blood rushed to her head. She struggled, but Nathael held firm.
"I broke up with you! Can't you understand?! You're acting like a thug, Nathael!"
Nathael tightened his lips, slapping her buttocks. "Shut up!"
Maggie was furious, breathless. She knew he wouldn't agree easily, but she never expected him to carry her away from the office.
He carried her down the hallway. This floor was mostly Nathael's domain—his office, reception, and meeting rooms—so there weren't many people around. But "not many" didn't mean "none." Alex was nearby.
Still upside down, Maggie saw people moving nearby, her face paling. "Nathael, have you no shame? This is kidnapping!"
He ignored her protests, taking the private lift to the parking lot. Before Maggie could react, she was pushed into the car. "Go. Back home," Nathael commanded coldly.
Once inside, she tried to open the door, but Nathael was faster. She heard a click as he locked it.

Through the rearview mirror, Alex stole a glance at their less-than-pleasant expressions, hesitant to even breathe heavily.
Nathael had even smashed the telephone. Alex hadn't seen him this furious in years.
As the car started, Nathael finally released Maggie. He closed his eyes, leaning back as if sleeping, but the tension remained thick and suffocating.
Maggie seethed with anger. Turning to him, her voice was cold. "What do you mean by this? Are you planning to keep me prisoner?"
Nathael didn't open his eyes. His words were sharp and chilling. "What's wrong with that?"
"Nathael, you have no shame! Forced relationships never end well! I don't love you, I don't want to be with you anymore, so what's the point?" Maggie's eyes welled up, her voice rising in frustration.
Alex, driving, felt a headache coming on. This situation was a disaster!
Nathael's expression darkened further. He opened his piercing eyes, his gaze intense and ominous. "Starting today, you're not going anywhere!"
"Are you out of your mind?!" Maggie gasped.
He hadn't been like this before. Even in their past life, he wouldn't have acted this way if she hadn't been with him. She couldn't understand why things were different this time, but she saw the madness and stubbornness in his eyes.
"Okay, can I call the cops? I'll tell them Mr. Harris is holding me against my will!"
Nathael closed his eyes again, his jaw tight, his brows furrowed.
Maggie pulled out her phone and called the emergency number, but his unmoved demeanor only fueled her anger.
In the end, she didn't call. Despite the Harrises' influence, she didn't want to give anyone ammunition against him.
Instead, she messaged Leo: "Nathael is trying to lock me up and won't let me go!"
Originally, Leo was to pick her up near Nathael's place. He'd found a clinic for her treatment, and they planned to go that evening.
But now, she was trapped.
She regretted not sneaking away, but knew that as long as she remained in the city, she couldn't evade Nathael's control. The tension in the car was palpable; neither spoke.

The car pulled into the yard. Nathael opened his door, then circled to Maggie's side and opened hers.
Maggie kept her eyes closed, showing her unwillingness to leave.
Nathael silently carried her. Turning to Alex, he said coldly, "Have Nolan keep an eye on the yard. From now on, Maggie is not allowed to leave the house." Maggie erupted. "Nathael! You can't keep me locked up forever!"
Nathael's chilling gaze swept over her. He said nothing, but Maggie sensed his attitude.
Her heart sank. She knew he was capable of it.
Yes, I made the wrong judgment. A man who could relinquish all power and commit suicide at my grave would never accept a breakup easily.
Maggie lowered her gaze, silent, pondering.
Regardless of the Harrises' influence, she needed to leave Nathael. Otherwise, Iris wouldn't be able to treat her.
A soft sigh escaped her lips. The situation was worse than before the breakup. She could only look for a chance to escape. Nathael had things to deal with; he couldn't watch her constantly.
After arriving home, Maggie remained quiet. Nathael didn't restrict her further, but she avoided him, refusing to engage.
As night fell, Maggie showered and leaned against the headboard, scrolling through her phone.
Leo messaged: "We can't keep dragging this on. It's been too long. I'll talk to Nathael."
Maggie frowned, expecting nothing positive.
Leo was concerned about her health. If they couldn't agree, he might take action against the Harrises. A clash would hurt both sides—something she desperately wanted to avoid.
'Just give me another week. I'll try to figure something out,' Maggie replied, troubled. She felt things were spiraling out of control.
As she sent the message, a call came from Timothy.
Overwhelmed, Maggie let it ring, ensuring Nathael was in his study before answering.
