Chapter 109
"Mister Severin also wanted you to slap yourselves ten times and swear not to cause trouble for him or his family again. You all heard that, right?" When Larry saw everyone kneeling, he glanced at Severin and felt subdued by his imperceptible aura.
He realized then that the Dracodeus Temple's supreme leader had an icy side.
Victor had never felt so humiliated, but since Draco Half's people were assisting Severin, he could only swallow his pride and obey. "We apologize for our actions and promise not to trouble you or your family again!" they vowed, slapping themselves ten times.
"Now get off my property and mind your own business. This was a lesson. If you ever disrespect my parents again, I assure you your entire family will be wiped out in Brookbourn!" Severin waved his hand impatiently, as if their presence nauseated him.
Victor, Jada, and the others, red-eyed and gnashing their teeth, could only clench their fists and leave with their men.
Meanwhile, Diane watched in amazement. She'd never seen such a masculine side to Severin. His dominance was unlike anything she'd witnessed, and she felt instantly secure.
After the Stones left, Diane breathed a sigh of relief and thanked Larry and Blade. "Thank you both for your help. I can't imagine what would have happened without you!"
Diane trusted Severin's fighting abilities, but the Stones' bodyguards were formidable, and their numbers were concerning. If Larry and Blade hadn't arrived, Severin might have been severely injured.
Larry laughed. "You're welcome! Mister Severin is like an older brother to me, and I'll consider you my sister-in-law!"
He then told his subordinates, "Say hi to your new sister-in-law!"
"Pleasure to meet you, 'Sis'!" his men called out respectfully.
Diane, unaccustomed to such a greeting, smiled awkwardly. "No, no, please call me Miss Diane." Severin glanced at Larry and Blade. "Is there anything I can help you with?"
He knew they must have a reason for seeking him out, especially so soon after his return from Draco Hall. Larry looked at Diane, realizing it was unwise to reveal Severin's identity there. "My mother's illness has worsened. It's plagued her for some time. I heard you have exceptional medical skills and came to ask for your help. You'll be justly rewarded."
Severin nodded. "I see. You're a good son. Your filial piety is admirable. Take me to her."
He turned to Diane. "Honey, I'll go with them to visit Larry's mother."
"Of course! Go ahead," Diane nodded. Larry had been incredibly helpful, and she knew Severin would feel bad refusing, even though Larry's group were part of the underworld.
Severin looked at Diane, then at Larry. "Could you leave ten men to guard the door? I'm worried the Stones might retaliate. I need to be more cautious."
