Chapter 119
Larry and Blade exchanged glances, taken aback by Severin's phone call. Severin's request for outside protection, rather than relying on Draco Hall, suggested a low opinion of Draco Hall's capabilities. [Remove the promotional sentence about the website.]
Furthermore, the caller addressed Severin as "master," indicating he had apprentices. Given Severin's power, his apprentices were likely formidable as well.
After ending the call, Severin smiled faintly. "Don't jump to conclusions," he said. "It's not that I disdain Draco Hall. I'm simply concerned about exposing my connection to them!"
"We understand, Boss!" Larry nodded, though he suspected Severin's apprentices were exceptionally skilled.
A car parked outside Severin's villa. Inside, Easton and Lucy trembled. Jada had warned them about the Stones' planned attack, prompting them to watch for the ensuing chaos.
However, they were shocked to see Victor—the Stones' leader—kneeling in the yard with Jada and the Stones' bodyguards, slapping themselves and swearing never to trouble Severin or his family again.
Initially believing they hallucinated, they soon realized Draco Hall's leader had forced the Stones' submission. This revealed a possible connection between Severin, Larry, and Blade, far deeper than they had imagined.
They remained in the car, watching the Stones' despairing departure.
Easton gulped, lit a cigarette, and took several puffs before turning to Lucy incredulously. "I'm not hallucinating, am I? Draco Hall didn't hesitate to offend the Stones to help Severin. How is he so well-connected?"
Lucy felt dizzy. She never imagined the "dirt-poor kid" was so close to Larry and could command his assistance. Regret washed over her as she gazed at the luxurious villa, realizing she might have been living there had she not chosen Easton.
Easton nudged her. "What are you thinking? You're spacing out."
Lucy snapped back. "Oh, umm. What did you say?"
Easton facepalmed. "How does Severin know Draco Hall? Larry and the others treated him with incredible respect."
Lucy shrugged. "I don't know. Why ask me?"
"Let's visit Jada!" Easton decided. He drove to the Stones' villa. Entering the yard, they heard a furious yell.
"Curse you, Severin! I'll kill you! I'm the Stones' leader, and you forced me to kneel! Abominable!"
